Obsession Jewelry Novels & Stories

The gala was a spectacle of power and wealth, it was a grand display of deception where men in tailored suits and women draped in diamonds smiled over glasses of blood-red wine. Serena De Luca had spent her life attending such events, she was forced to play the role of the obedient daughter, she was the mafia princess and was meant to stand beside her father as proof of his legacy. But tonight, something felt different.

I’m just surrounded by people who think a pussy makes you brainless. I traced the pendant with my thumb and felt the faint warmth inside. The gem shifted colors under the bathroom light, blues bleeding into violent purples, silver sparks flickering like trapped lightning. This wasn’t just jewelry. This was a fucking war chest. The Obsidian Veil auctioned for more money than most crime families see in a decade, now hanging around my neck like a noose made of diamonds and promises. Who the hell are you, Dax Blackthorne? she said sentimentally. “Then we would gladly watch too,” Essi grinned. With Oneil sharing the bench, they watched Marco preparing the jade stone and the piece of gold. Marco’s wife even explained that today, they were lucky to buy a gold of a cheaper price. So Marco can create a precious metal ring with jade stones on it. It was an incredible sight for Essi. It was like there is a calling for her to observe it better because maybe the Click Magazine would request for her to contribute another writing. "This is a piece of obsidian gemstone jewelry. If you play your cards right you can sell them for huge amounts of money. I need you to accompany me to this job. If by the end, we can safely make it back. I'll give this to you."

I didn't know why it shone, but it was beautiful. I could sit all day watching this piece of gem that clung to my neck. It was like a daily ritual. Sitting and admiring its beauty. Day in and day out, I became addicted to my locket. I almost couldn't go a day without touching it or staring at it for hours. It slowly became my little obsession. I knew obsessions were bad, but who wouldn't get obsessed with this beauty? I reluctantly tore my gaze off it, placing it inside my top to conceal it and I shut the door of my room, contemplating what to do.
