The Phoenix's Second Choice

The Phoenix's Second Choice

Then someone asked, cautiously, "So… even I might be able to inherit the Phoenix legacy?" "Of course," I answered. Ignoring Seraphine's seething glare, I raised my voice. "The Phoenix Court will hold a competition. Whoever wins by strength alone shall be the next leader." A cheer erupted across the courtyard. Only Father and Seraphine stood pale-faced, their carefully built illusions unraveling. That night, Franz clung to me as usual. "Althea…" He nuzzled his head into my chest like he could never get enough. I sighed, reaching out to pull him closer. But just then, the world tilted.

Hotter Than Hell

Hotter Than Hell

I keep my gaze forward and look through the dark, smoky windshield refusing to look back. The Valley of the Sun, as Phoenix and the surrounding cities are known, is a sprawling metropolis of black asphalt and mostly one- or two-story buildings. The high-rise, big city atmosphere can be found downtown and takes up about forty square blocks total. That’s a pin in a map compared to the rest of the city. Gomez doesn’t ask directions as he navigates the streets. We circumvent the inner city, and Gomez enters the freeway a few miles from Moon’s home. I sit back and pull in a long slow breath of air.

Absolutely amazing read! Great reader captivation, there seems to actually be a quality editorial team proofreading this novel. I highly recommend it to anyone on this app! To date it is the only novel I've paid to read and I've been using the app for the better part of 6months.

My Feisty Wife: Baby, You're So Sweet

My Feisty Wife: Baby, You're So Sweet

So the one who was driving quickly parked the car and changed the seat with Tim. As soon as Tim held the steering wheel, he became really excited. He had been ordered to monitor Justin for so long, so he had lost his patience long before. He couldn't miss such a good opportunity, could he? So he accelerated the car to the fastest, chasing Justin's car. Phoenix City was located in a wide area where there was an endless plain outside the downtown. The two cars were running really fast, leaving various difficult trajectories behind. It was a pity that there was no audience. Otherwise, they would definitely applaud when seeing it.

My Husband's Secret

My Husband's Secret

From there, Claire could see part of the city of Phoenix with the bright winter sky above them. Cecilia had grown up in Canada, where there was plenty of snow in the winter and not too much heat in the summer. Hopefully, she could adjust quickly to the warmer Phoenix air. There would be no snow this winter because they were in Phoenix, Arizona. However, Claire hoped they could spend Christmas Eve somewhere else because Cecilia loved watching the snow fall while they lit the fireplace near the Christmas tree.

The Phoenix Before Doomsday

The Phoenix Before Doomsday

"You already know." I wake up with a gasp. --- The next morning, I gather the team. "I know where the Phoenix Files are," I say. They look at me. Waiting. "Beneath the mountain," I say. "The one where the first Receptor was born. The one where the veil was first created." Helena's face goes pale. "That's in the Northern Territories," she says. "The most dangerous place on Earth. It's overrun with Corrupted. With warlords. With things that would eat us alive."

MY SECOND-CHANCE MATE IS A WOLF HUNTER

MY SECOND-CHANCE MATE IS A WOLF HUNTER

Phoenix added. It took me a second to remember that 'invocates' meant hunter. I hadn’t even thought of the hunters. But if they somehow stumbled upon out luggage then it would assure them of our location. But I honestly doubted that they could ever find us. “Help me up.” Phoenix said. “Oh.” I replied as I helped him climb on to Orlaith’s back. “We need a new form of transportation.” Oisin observed. Orlaith huffed. “Sorry that I called you transportation.” Oisin replied and rubbed Orlaith’s fur.

Morning faced so much challenges. The betrayal was so loud and it hurt. Even me. I don't want to list out spoilers for other readers, but this book gives me the chills, the laughs, the emotions...everything beautifully woven together to form this masterpiece of a book.
