Our eyes connect and for the first time in my life, I see fear in his eyes. I try to blink, to see through the smoke, but it's gotten much harder now. I continually try to blink and look at him, until I feel them, overpower me. They soon shut down and I give into exhaustion, just when I hear, " Chloe no!!!!!!"

I have to tighten my fists to keep myself from snapping her out of her vision, especially when she doesn’t blink or gives me an indication that she can hear my words. All I can do is stand there and hope that she will make it out of this vision without issue.

I peered around trying to get a clear view, but the area I needed to see was just out of sight. Suddenly, my eyes flew open, and I was fully awake. I hadn’t been able to glimpse the area of shoulder that I needed for confirmation, but I knew without a doubt whether I had wanted to see the scar or not.

"A-are you a hybrid or something?" All I can manage is to shake my head no between sobs. As I shake my head, I feel him starting to press his thumbs against my lower eyelids, obstructing my vision. Oh no no no, he's going to poke my eyes out. Holy crap! He saw the violet color. He is going to blind me. I place my hands on top of his trying to pull him away. I hear myself screaming, "NONONONOOOOO! STOP!! Don't take my eyes ouuutttt! PLEEAASSEEEE!!!”

There is no transition, from dark to light and shadow. My eyes open. But still, the ocean has taken a part of me. Eyes open. But I do not see.

Try as I might, but I only hear a slur of sounds. A bright light suddenly flashed in my eyes causing me to quickly shut my eyes in pain. Tears welled up and dripped down the sides of my face. What was that? When the pain subsides I slowly open my eyes again. I can see everything clearly now. There isn’t a haze over my eyes, but I wish there was. The first thing I see is some sort of organic orb floating over my head shining a light down on me.

I’m currently living out my fantasy with the man I think I’m falling in love with, and it’s so pathetic because he doesn’t see me in the same light. My mind goes back to the evening he allowed me to touch his face, how it took everything in me to not take a peek at him. He still doesn’t know about my ability to see and it felt like I would have betrayed his trust by sneaking a look at him, so I decided not to. Even though I am dying to see how he looks. I sink down to the grass and cross my legs at the ankles before allowing myself to ‘see’ again. This time, as I open my eyes, everything seems brighter than before. And even though I can technically see again, everything is in inverted black

Alpha Theo’s POV Gasps echoed through the room. My mother paled visibly, her hands trembling. Oscar stepped forward, his eyes wide with disbelief. “Theo, have you lost your mind?” my father barked, his voice sharp with alarm. “No, I haven’t,” I said firmly. “I’ve searched six countries in forty-eight hours, and no one has a cure. No one even has the antidote to reverse the damage. But this doctor—he says it’s possible. If I give her one of my eyes, she’ll be able to see again.”
