Me Before You

Me Before You

Oikawa held his head in his hands and I could hear him weep. "Oikawa it's alright, I won't leave until you can, and I'll make you get out of this. Don't worry, I'm here for you." I kissed him on the forehead and he looked up with teary eyes. He looked at me like a kid, and an unknown tear escaped my eyes, I embraced him and we stayed like that until he stopped crying. ____________________________________

The Dance of Fates: Bellatrix

The Dance of Fates: Bellatrix

Faline wasn't sure about it yet and so she looked away. Iwaoka knew that was her answer so he smiled and leaned back. "There’s this hot spring inn on top of a mountain. The view is amazing," he suggested offhandedly before plucking a few pieces of the orange right from her fingers. She watched him eat with a frown, “Iwaoka, you’re terrible at this.” He scowled at her. “What’s that supposed to mean?” Faline ate the rest of the orange before he could steal more and then stood up, brushing grass from her robes.

This gave me a great fantasy-themed anime vibes, those series which took place in an entirely different world with loads of adventure to occur. Those who are into adventures with multiple unique characters to choose from would defo enjoy reading this piece.

To say that she was confused would be an exaggeration. “What is this place?” Amaka’s voice echoed. The crunch under their feet made Ejima tighten her fist on the sling dangling on her waist. There were dried bones everywhere, skulls of men and beasts and certainly children. She was right, this was a cave, not of stones but of bones and grasses. Skulls lined the walls, adding more horror to each stride they took. “Iworo.” Uche said and when Ejima thought he was not going to continue, he added, “Once known as Death’s eponym. It was first built by Gruchi, an old wizard who served the kingdom, not for money or power, but blood.”

OAKHAVEN

OAKHAVEN

Vane turned back to me, extending a hand toward me across the desk. "Look out the window, Maya," Vane said, gesturing toward the burning city below. "These people are chaos. They are destructive, irrational, and weak. Without structure, without a strong hand to guide them, they will tear themselves apart. I built Oakhaven to save humanity from its own worst impulses." "You built a cage!" I shouted, wiping a tear from my cheek as anger began to replace my shock. "You took away their freedom! You wiped their memories and turned them into slaves!"
