My Hockey Alpha

My Hockey Alpha

I asked, squeezing my hands tightly between my knees to hide the fact that I was shaking slightly out of nervousness. The old man nodded. “Yup.” No one said anything else for a while. Soon, the road widened and the trees became sparse on either side. And, finally, after crossing a little bridge that ran across a narrow river, the road became paved. The old man picked up the pace. I was surprised that the beat up old truck was even running at any speeds greater than ten miles per hour, but I wasn’t complaining.

the story is great don't get me wrong. this book is two parts as we speak, the first is when Nina and Enzo met and they get their happily ever after. the Book two is their life after marriage. let me just say "The story plot is getting redundant". the conflict presented is just repeating...

This started out promising and quickly turned into a waste of time. The FMC is a dumb, cringey, genetic, basic b!tch. Posts won't be shown without a 5 star rating, but this is definitely a 1 star. 2 if feeling generous.

Sold as the Alpha King's Breeder

Sold as the Alpha King's Breeder

It took them nearly an hour to reach us, all of them red-faced and steaming with heat when they finally climbed over the railing and put their water-logged boots down on the ship. An older man stepped forward, breathing heavily as he reached into the pocket of his coat. He was an "Old Salt," someone who had been working on ships for the majority of his life. He walked like it, talked like it, and had the signature deep tan of someone who spent their days working in the salty, harsh reflection of the sun coming off the water. "I don't think so, pal." Robbie drew a long knife from his belt, holding it out in front of him. The two younger men who had accompanied the old man on the trek shifted

I adore this series. I had the privilege to read it a couple years ago on a different platform. It’s incredibly detailed with mostly likeable characters. Plus you get to follow the journey as they grow and develop over several stories. It’s well worth the time invested!

The order of the book is a little confusing, started out with a story about Ethan and Rosalie and mid way through it's like the story has jumped back to were the beginning should be. I love the story but this kinda has me scratching my head .

Christmas in ashes

Christmas in ashes

“They’re watching what happens without you.” That night, something breaks. Not a fire. Not cold. A collapse. The old footbridge near the quarry gives way under the weight of neglect and late snow. No sabotage. No supernatural influence. Just rot and gravity finally agreeing. Two people fall. They survive. Barely. Broken bones. Shock. Pain that will linger. I arrived after the rescue crews. I stand at the edge of the wreckage, silver humming low, ready to knit, to ease, to shorten the recovery.

“Marked as Property, Stolen by the Alpha”

“Marked as Property, Stolen by the Alpha”

Ten journeys. Ten impossible messages. Each carried a story. Each carried proof that hope traveled farther than anyone imagined. The first lantern belonged to the old man who received his sister's letter. He stepped onto the platform slowly. Letter held carefully against his chest. The crowd welcomed him with applause. Not loud applause. Warm applause. The kind that says: We're glad you're here. The old man smiled through tears. Then said something simple. Something that stayed with everyone afterward. "I followed a story." The river reflected thousands of lights beneath the stars.

Virginity at auction

Virginity at auction

I arrived at my favorite place, it was the Manhattan suspension bridge, this was where I came to destroy myself , I parked the car at the top to go down. The water, as always, was serene, colors could be reflected in it . "What's the use of having everything if there's no love?" I threw a stone that made several jumps on the surface of the water. “You seem to be a good guy, but you've been through a hard life”I turned my eyes back and a guy appeared with a shabby outfit, I could deduce that he was a street man, he was a very old man. Silence, I stayed silent while I returned to throw another stone.

Laws Of The Wolf {Book 2}

Laws Of The Wolf {Book 2}

- How much water has flowed under the bridge since then. Ibragimov gave an appraising glance to the motorcyclists, with meager remnants of weapons. It’s good that this wasn’t written on it, otherwise I was already beginning to feel disappointed: here I was supposed to catch up with fear, and the old man neighed like a horse, but was nostalgic. Not in order! Something had to be done about it urgently! - Let go, please, my Misha, - he asked.

THE ALPHA'S CURSED LUNA

THE ALPHA'S CURSED LUNA

Stayed on that side to receive people as they crossed. Thorne managed the bridge. One at a time. Nobody rushing. The kind of patience that looked effortless from the outside and Aria knew cost him. She moved between problems. An elderly man who'd collapsed fifty meters from the chamber entrance. Helped carry him the rest of the way. His name was Wes. He thanked her. She kept moving. A dispute at the bridge about crossing order that was going to turn into something worse if she didn't intervene. Intervened. Moved on.

Princess Cromwell and Her Six Brothers

Princess Cromwell and Her Six Brothers

One of them, just finished eating, stopped hiccuping when coming out. He did some calculations and seemed to figure something out. His eyes turned red and tears even welled up. Someone over there was shouting, "Hey old man, is that you, the old man who always tells fortunes under the bridge!" "Today doesn't count." The old man rolled up the straw mat and walked forward briskly. From a distance, his back doesn't look like that of a hundred-year-old man at all. He waited for so many years, and finally he got what he wanted.

Alpha Cain

Alpha Cain

When I scan the group I notice they all look down, refusing to meet my eyes, all except for one man in the centre who frowns at me and then nudges his head in a come hither motion, as if I have any say in the matter whatsoever. At that exact moment a huge fire starts on the corner of the bridge beside me and my husband pushes me behind him protectively, springing into action and issuing orders. The men work quickly but every time it looks as though they are winning, a new fire starts up in a separate place, until almost all the men are working together, using the river to try to put it out.
