My Blind Mate

My Blind Mate

A reddish glow came out of her mouth. Rebecca's body immediately darted towards the bridge. Her body trembled over the bridge that looked fragile. Rebecca dared her feet to step over the suspension bridge. However, just as she reached the centre a strong wind began to blow. The wind began to shake the details of the bridge. Both of Rebecca's hands gripped the two sides of the bridge. "Crazy, this isn't a bridge! Damn it," Rebecca said. However, the old woman still continued to struggle until she reached the other side. Her steps stopped right near the young woman's body.

Revenge Of The Rejected Ex-Wife

Revenge Of The Rejected Ex-Wife

I had panicked for perhaps three minutes before finding him beside an elderly man sitting near the fountain. An elderly man... My breathing caught. Memory sharpened with terrifying clarity. The man had been feeding birds. Daniel had been asking questions. Bridges. Always bridges. He had spent almost ten minutes explaining how ancient Roman bridges survived floods. The gentleman had listened with remarkable patience. Then smiled. Then handed Daniel another piece of bread for the birds. When I finally reached them, the stranger had simply stood, wished us a pleasant afternoon, and walked away. No introductions. No names.

My Wife is My mistress

My Wife is My mistress

"I'm just warning you, sir. Be careful crossing the bridge just ahead of here. You'll find many dead people there who have been resurrected." The two friends looked at each other who were both scared at that point. It wasn't the first time they had been there, but they felt differently when the old man warned them. When they looked at the beggar again, she was gone and suddenly out of their sight. "Jester, let's not continue to go there. There are many hotels on the other side. Let's just spend the night there," Theo encouraged the man, who was already terrified. Jester did not want to believe what the old man was saying because he had crossed that bridge several times and had not seen any w

Retribution of the Roar

Retribution of the Roar

A river with sharp rocks twenty feet spread below. “Let’s go two at a time or else the bridge will break,” the woman with the golden tooth said. That goes without saying. It was as if the bridge was designed to not welcome visitors. As ancient and old-looking the bridge was, the new guerilla army seemed to have no problem with it. Wayl and the woman went ahead first. It was only the two of them but the bridge swayed so much. “That seems scary,” Maryan whispered beside him. “We can’t do anything about it, can’t we?”

Alpha Step Daddy : Four Mates, One heart

Alpha Step Daddy : Four Mates, One heart

The old man stared at the painting for a long second before answering. “We were told never to speak of it openly.” Okay. That was objectively the worst possible response to hear underground beneath a cursed ancient kingdom. I stepped closer slightly. “You know, every time somebody says things like that around us, our lives get dramatically worse afterward.” Nobody laughed. Rude. The old man moved closer to the portrait slowly. His attention stayed fixed on the child’s face while something unsettled moved through his expression. “The stories called the child The Bridge,” he said quietly.

The Trillionaire System

The Trillionaire System

The city flowed with them, slower, wary. Bridge Two smelled like river-cold stone and old iron. The refugees were already visible across the span—a thin column of people moving with the rhythm of those who march because stopping means dying. A boy carried a bundle heavier than his ribs could afford. A woman’s shawl was ash-laced and wet. An old man held himself like a lantern whose wick had burned low. Two militia units stood at the gate in a posture that was almost ceremony—rifles low, fingers straight, eyes soft and hard in the same face. Jun breathed out once, the kind of breath that calibrates a room.

The Heiress' Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call

The Heiress' Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call

"Have our people in Portfall made their move yet?" That team member nodded. "They've already started. Right there at the Portfall dock." "Good. The person Sam mentioned is most likely the old man in the last room of the cabin area. He's wearing a frock coat, and you can clearly see the wrinkles on his face. He's about five and a half feet tall. "Keep an eye on him, especially when we're getting off the ship." The others whispered back, "Yes, Captain." … Right now in the Netherrealm, spectral aura had condensed into thick fog by the banks of Mournglow River, shrouding the Severance Bridge. It looked just like a heavy curtain that could never be pulled back.

I wouldn’t bother reading. The author has dragged this out and made the storyline almost unrecognizable from what it was portrayed. Instead of focusing on the lost child and the reunion with the family they have introduced stupid plots to drag the story on- and on- and on- and on!

Crossing The Bridge

Crossing The Bridge

It is rude and pathetic, but most people lack bravery and basic decency. I am a Bridge. It is a role I chose before I was born into this lifetime. My soul has reincarnated since the first human was created. Really gives meaning to the “old soul” label. To be a bridge, one’s soul must have been reincarnated for thousands of years and have mastered most of the roles they have chosen in previous lives. Few souls choose to be a Bridge. It is a very challenging soul role to level out of.

The Alpha King's Breeder

The Alpha King's Breeder

We reach the outpost and are met by four of my men, all of them haggard and exhausted. “Get her to the Deadlands. We’re taking down the bridge, now,” I pant, and place the half-starved little boy in the arms of one of the warriors. I don't spare a glance at the desperate woman before sprinting back the way I came, leaping over rubble and bodies, the fog lifting as the seconds pass. Rain starts to pound the street, lifting dust and ash in its wake. But now, the view of the bridge is clear. And we are grossly outnumbered.

These books have been my lifeline. I am crushed to reach this point and have to leave this beautifully tragic world and all its perfectly flawed characters. I can't wait for the next update, and honestly hope (though I know it is in vain) we get to follow this family tree for even more generations.

The Alpha's Replacement Bride

The Alpha's Replacement Bride

not only did the two young men get an explanation of who Harriet was, but Harriet also got an explanation of who the two of them were. "My name is Bill, and this is my brother Ben," they introduced themselves. They were poor brothers from an orphanage. They worked on the docks as porters, and for the past few weeks, they had seen an old man appear on the docks and wander aimlessly. They recounted the previous sequence of events exactly as what they told Liam, that they looked for the old man around town and finally found him around this area after not seeing him again around the pier. "We often worry when we see the old man. Every day he looks thinner and paler, but he never wants to be help
