I hissed back, watching the man’s pitch-black eyes narrow angrily at me. “Is that a threat? Michael Gotham?” Wolverine Silver whispered so quietly that I almost wasn't sure he had spoken. Icy shards of glass slithered down my back to freeze over at the base of my spine. Of all the wolves at the table, it was Wolverine Silver I was most worried about. He had gotten his name because he was somehow immune to silver. Wolverine was a shredded beast on the battle field who could withstand silver attacks even better than us Alphas. We needed him on our side.

Elliot’s POV “What are you talking about?” I asked, folding my arms across my chest as I stared at my men. They all stiffened and looked amongst themselves. “They think something is off with Silver,” Luca said, motioning in the direction Silver walked, “She seems different, but all the facts are there. The imposter has her scent and she’s dirty. She’s a rogue.” Something inside of me angered; was it my wolf? Why would he be reacting this way towards a rogue wolf?

Silver tried to step back out of his reach but unintentionally slipped, gasping in shock before she knocked herself down to the floor.
