Mistaken Surrogate for the Lycan Prince

Mistaken Surrogate for the Lycan Prince

“The silver goes with the blue, not the gold. The gold would clash terribly with the centerpieces.” I blinked, unable to believe what I was seeing. Isaac was surrounded by fabric swatches, flower arrangements, and what appeared to be at least three different cake samples. His usually perfect hair was disheveled, like he’d been running his hands through it repeatedly, and he had a smudge of what looked like frosting on his cheek. The event planners hovered around him, looking both confused and mildly amused as he pointed to a color chart. “And we’re going with the Silvermist wildflowers for the table settings,” he continued. “They’re the same flowers that grow in Lady Ravenwood’s mother’s ter

TABOO TEMPTATIONS: STEAMY TALES OF DESIRE AND SEDUCTION

TABOO TEMPTATIONS: STEAMY TALES OF DESIRE AND SEDUCTION

“Well, good thing I’m here. Your birthday is next week, and i'm not letting you spend it stressed and moping. I got you an early present.” She waved her phone excitedly. “Silver Sanctuary — brand new ultra-exclusive spa downtown. The owner is the mysterious CEO type, but the reviews are insane. Also stupidly expensive and super private, but I pulled some strings and booked you the full premium relaxation package for tomorrow evening. Deep tissue, full-body massage session. My treat." Lila blinked, heart skipping. Silver Sanctuary… she’d heard whispers. It was expensive, private, and somehow tied to the entertainment world. “Sophie… that must have cost a fortune. You really didn’t have to—”

Return Of The Unwanted Luna (You Can’t Have Me)

Return Of The Unwanted Luna (You Can’t Have Me)

I closed the jar, wrapped the red ribbon around it and I couldn't believe that I spent all the night making small notes about the daily activities that we will partake in since Elodie and I decided to start dating. Before I knew what was happening, Silver appeared beside me. “Dad, are those candies for me? Tell me that it is mine, please Dad” I raised a brow in confusion, laughing at the same time while trying to wrap my head around when he got here. “When did you get here, Silver?” “Just now. Can you please give me one?” “No, they are not candies. They are for your mum” Silver frowned. “I don't believe you, Dad. Those are candies”

Two Souls

Two Souls

Abigail quickly jotted down the telephone number and retreated back to her bedroom, keen to jump onto G****e to see what information she could find. Opening up her laptop, Abigail quickly launched G****e and typed in “Silver Stardust’. She was presented with a link to a store that sold esoteric items. Could this simply be a store where her mother bought all of her Wiccan items? Maybe not. Abigail clicked on the link to the website and was welcomed with a photo of the storefront along with one of the inside of the store. It seemed so homely and inviting and it struck a cord deep within her. This was a place where she would love to spend time searching for the perfect items for her Wiccan spel

Alpha Zephyr’s Rejected Mate

Alpha Zephyr’s Rejected Mate

~ZEPHYR~ A frown formed on my face as Silver insisted for the umpteenth time that he would escort us back to the pack despite my repeated orders to leave with his mate. “I am your beta. I am supposed to protect you!” He placed a hand on my shoulder and squeezed it gently. “They could be around us, looking for a way to attack you again.” “That is exactly why you must leave first,” I gritted my teeth, explaining again. I understood Silver wanted to protect me, but it would be a disaster if the black scroll fell into the wrong hands. “We are leaving first to serve as a distraction.”

Vows of Silver and Sin

Vows of Silver and Sin

"She smells of old ink and terror. Tell me, little Scribe, can you see the way we all die just by touching our wine glasses? Or is your gift as limited as your lifespan?" I felt a surge of cold anger. These weren't just mobsters; they were nightmares in silk ties. I reached out and picked up my silver fork, feeling the history of the metal—the hands that had polished it, the mouths it had fed, the secrets whispered over it. "I see enough," I said, my voice projecting with a strength I didn't know I had. I looked Ligeia straight in her iridescent eyes. "I see that this silver was mined from a grave. And I see that the woman sitting across from me is deathly afraid of the dark. Is that why you

Silver Moon Rising

Silver Moon Rising

“Your father believes it was rogues. I believe it was something else.” I stood up. My legs were stiff from sitting so long. “What do you mean?” “Did you see the silver light, boy?” “Everyone saw it.” The memory hurt. Sera kneeling there, her power pouring out of her like a broken dam. Her eyes had been pure silver. Not the primal wolf-gold she used to have, not human. Something ancient, terrifying, and beautiful. Too weak. I had called her too weak. The Moon Goddess must be laughing.

Blood, Gold, and Silver

Blood, Gold, and Silver

I shook my head, raising my voice so everyone could hear. “We will be praying to the Moon Goddess,” I began, slowing shifting my eyes around the circle. “But not for her protection, nor for safe passage. No, we will be praying for her to send her greatest weapon to wipe out this stain on her domain. There is no need to speak aloud, just close your eyes and pray in whatever way works best for you. Pray that she shines her light upon us, pray that she sees us through this nightmare. But mostly pray that she sends the Silver Myst.”

Golden Luna

Golden Luna

"You think it's unusual, don't you, daughter?" I dragged my eyes from the sight and turned to him, then replied. "You did say the moon hasn't shined this brightly in a hundred years." He leaned towards me as though sharing a secret, then whispered in my ear. "Maybe the Moon Goddess is also celebrating with you. It's your Turning Feast, after all." I snorted. "Since when has the Moon Goddess ever cared about the affairs of one single person?" My father laughed. "You've always been a feisty one. Good thing you've Turned now. It's high time we found you a man who would be able to tame you. Perhaps Alpha Alexander over there?" He pointed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Alright, so I picked up 'Silvercandle II' after seeing some buzz on a fantasy subreddit. Honestly, I almost dropped it after the first hundred pages. The opening chapters feel like a massive history lesson about the magical guilds and the war with the Shadowreach. It’s a lot to absorb, and the pacing is... deliberate, let’s say. The prose is dense, and the author has a habit of describing every tapestry in the castle.

But I stuck with it, and somewhere around the midpoint, the main character, Lyra, finally gets out of the city and the plot kicks in. The magic system suddenly clicks into place—the idea that ‘silvercandling’ isn’t just light creation but a form of memory manipulation is genuinely cool. Her journey into the Sunken Library is where the book found its legs for me.

So, is it worth it for a new fantasy fan? I’d say maybe not as a first-ever fantasy book. It’s work. You need patience. But if someone has already cut their teeth on something like Sanderson or Hobb and wants a slower, more intricate political-magical puzzle, then yeah, the payoff in the last third is pretty solid. The ending leaves you wanting the next one, which I guess is the point.
