Agnes The drive to the highest vista in Silvermoon was quiet. James drove with Elijah riding shotgun, while I sat in the back with Olivia. The silence was thick enough to cut with a knife. I kept stealing glances at Olivia, trying to read her face in the dim glow of passing streetlights. She didn’t look at me. Or any of us, really. And eventually, I got so exhausted that I even nodded off briefly. Finally, the car slowed and turned onto a gravel road that wound its way up a steep hillside. My eyes glowed bright gold, showing her my Luna strength, a sign that the Moon Goddess chose me—favored me to become Dominic’s destined mate and to lead the Silver Crescent alongside him. Olivia was stunned. Her bewildered expression brought secret pleasure in me as she lost her balance and tumbled to the floor. I had never seen Olivia lose her composure before, but I knew she was desperate. Elliot’s POV “What are you talking about?” I asked, folding my arms across my chest as I stared at my men. They all stiffened and looked amongst themselves. “They think something is off with Silver,” Luca said, motioning in the direction Silver walked, “She seems different, but all the facts are there. The imposter has her scent and she’s dirty. She’s a rogue.” Something inside of me angered; was it my wolf? Why would he be reacting this way towards a rogue wolf?

One raised its head to the dawn and howled, the sound tearing through Kaelen’s bones. Werewolves. The pack fanned out, circling. There were at least six, maybe more in the shadows. Kaelen gripped the useless remains of his poker before realizing it had melted to slag. He had no weapon. Only the fire inside him, and that was as likely to kill Elira as their hunters. The largest of the wolves padded forward, towering over the others. Its silver eyes locked on Kaelen. “The blood stirs,” it growled, its voice a gravelly rumble that no beast should possess. “He belongs to the Moon.”

Steve smiled at her unconscious coquettish action. “But I want to taste them now.” Carla pouted as she quickly finished the last rolls in the box while licking her oily lips. “You have to have enough space in your stomach for the food at the beach.” Steve teased with a smile on his face. If he had known that the way to her heart was through food, He would have taken that route sooner.

I lied, I didn't have a pack after all so I had to think of something Derrick raised an eyebrow. “Silver Moon Pack? I've never heard of it.” “It's a small, isolated pack,” I replied quickly. I didn't want any suspicion. “We keep to ourselves.” I added to make it sound more believable He seemed to accept my explanation, nodding slowly. “Alright, Olivia. If you follow my lead, you might just manage to survive.” I was ready for anything at least to stay alive, I had to play this role perfectly. “Understood,” I said, firmly, trying hard to blend in.
