“Careful,” Julian murmured, watching the boy.
“I gots it,” Oliver said matter-of-factly, though he clearly didn't. He started walking toward the back of the estate, leaving a trail of kale behind him like Hansel and Gretel with breadcrumbs. At the rate the boy was going, none of it would actually make it to the pond.
“Here,” Julian said, struggling slightly as he opened the second bag. “Let’s trade.”
Oliver shrugged like it wasn't a big deal, but he traded bags anyway before heading toward the water. “Come on, I’ll show you!”
