"What damn ass deal?"I asked, folding my arms. "The deal we made last week,i get to sabotage Alex's boot and you have sex with me"He said. After taking a deep breath and glancing around my room one last time, I made my way downstairs, ready to leave. The drive to Oak Mountain School was peaceful, and once we arrived, my mother and I exchanged goodbyes before she departed. As I entered the large building, I was greeted by a friendly young man named Lewis, who offered to show me to my room. "Here’s your room, Olivia. Your roommate has already settled in, but I have a feeling she’s a nice girl. She can help you with anything you need, or you can always come to me." Lewis said with a warm smile as he handed me the keys to my dorm.

Oliver moved more carefully, like he was mentally simulating ten possible outcomes before committing to one. "Rowan," I called down, not raising my voice much. "That barrel is not a launchpad." "He walked straight into the line of fire! What was I supposed to do?" Rowan shouted back, clearly more amused than concerned. Oliver picked up a pinecone, inspected it dramatically, and dropped it back to the ground with a theatrical sigh. "Pick one game, agree on the rules, and please don’t start bleeding before dinner."

Oliver is the first one that hurls through the canopy of leaves rushing towards the group of human hunters; knocking a few of them down. His paws pressing into their abdomen as he snarls viciously. Another aims his weapon and I attack, trapping his arm between my teeth as the weapon goes off and thankfully it missed Oliver. I return my attention to my bleeding victim, intent on taking his head next if he even bats an eyelash.

Michael smiled more easily than he had the day before. “I told you we’d return.” The boy looked up. “Dad said this place has lots of books.” Sarah smiled. “He was telling the truth.” “My name’s Ethan.” “It is wonderful to meet you, Ethan.” Oliver appeared almost immediately. Pulling out a map of the area, I unrolled it on my desk. ‘Where are you?’ Oliver hummed for a moment. ‘I met him at the old camping ground near the West end. The one that we closed down because of the potential for landslides.’

Cole said, raising his hand as if he was guilty "And I did it" Chris said as he did as Cole "Okay let's get that right Chris and Cole signed up for your name on a school trip to camp," Dad said “Yes, and without my consent,” I said while clasping my hands in front of my chest "I think it's a good idea Olivia," said my mom " Illiterate?" I said it while looking at her "Listen, Olivia, this is a new chapter in your life. You should forget what happened in the past and spend two days with your friends," said my mother

Olivia couldn’t shake the feeling that something had changed, something fundamental, and that whatever had just crossed their path was only the beginning. As they neared the camp, the tension in the air seemed to grow, the pack members moving with caution, their eyes scanning the trees as though expecting an attack. Olivia glanced at Ralph, and he gave her a reassuring nod, but she could see the concern in his eyes. They were both on edge, and it wasn’t just the ritual’s aftermath. It was something else. Something deeper. They reached the heart of the camp, where Gideon and the other elders were waiting. Their expressions were grim, and Olivia felt an unsettling wave of dread wash over her.

Oliver always said he wanted to be close by just in case. Oliver was a computer genius. He could hack into any system .. and do any and everything with high tech equipment. He kept his laptop on him at all times. But if something went wrong with our mainframe… he’d need to be here in this building. And that would be one of those emergency situations so .. he wanted to be here, to live here close by. Just in case …
