“Or you wouldn’t have entertained him?” I asked, referring to Donald as my jaw clenched in anger and jealousy.
“I don’t have any reason not to, Mark. And Alexa wanted it,” Mr. Silver said. “She is the only hope I have now, and I must do her bidding, and besides, her happiness means the world to me,” Mr. Silver added.
