Xander's confidence makes him try to get Jonas back, even though it requires no easy effort, because the bond between them has been broken.

"You’re not my mate," he said, loud enough for the whole pack to hear. "You’re just an omega. Nothing more." He didn’t reject me. Not officially. That would have been too easy.
