Novel & Cerita One Dark Window Book 2

Her scent clung to the sheets, sweet and faintly floral. After a few hours, sleep had eventually come. I stirred hours later on the bed and realised that where she lay beside me was empty. My eyes shot open. The room was quiet, shadows shifting with the faint flicker of the dying fire. Then my gaze found her by the window. The storm was still roaring outside, howling loudly. Everything outside the glass is nothing but white chaos. She stood there, completely still with my white polo draped over her body. It barely covered her thighs, and the hem lifted slightly each time the wind rattled the windowpane.

Lucian whispered, trailing his finger over her face. Finally, Lucian left the room. The book sat on the desk, its dark cover gleaming ominously. He could feel its pull, the promise of power and throne. But one thing rang in his mind, he had to find her, and for the first time, Lucian felt a glimmer of light. But the battle was far from over. The shadows within him stirred, restless and insistent, opposing him from making a stupid step again.

When they ran towards the window to see what was going on, they met pitch darkness, which could obscure anyone's vision, even from seeing their own toes. "What do you think that was, Miss Milburn?" Patrilia asked, looking around him. "I don't know. It may be wild animals. Don't forget, we are not staying in some fucktown or rural house. "We are spending another night in this goddamn mountain, full of trees, wild animals, and beasts." She chuckled, going to her own room.

------ CRACK Woken up again by the loud crack of thunder, I couldn't feel the warmth of Declan. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and searched the room realizing he was no longer beside me. Lightning struck outside my window again, and I could see that my window had been blown open. I walked over on shaky legs, scanning the outside of the manor trying to see out into the blackness. I couldn't see anything outside because of all the rain and darkness, so I shut the window quickly. Another strike of lightning followed by a clap of thunder made me jump back away from the window with a small yelp. I turned around as another strike of lightning invaded the window and I could see a figure in the c

I said sleepily. He was right, I felt weak and slightly sick that my eye lid started to get heavy. At once I felt a strange cold breeze blow past that made me shiver and open my already closed eyes a little bit. I caught sight of a pale looking slim man wearing a blue tight fitted tee shirt over black leather jeans and brown jacket to my right. He was standing far far away from the group so he was obviously not a part of us, he was looking down all along but as he lifted his head, I saw a his eyes turn deep red before he disappeared completely leaving me shivering against Lucas's body.

But nothing comes out and I suddenly realise the dark isn't where I want to be anymore. I hear them leave the room, and a sense of loneliness consumes me, reminding me that I need to fight for what I want. And what I want is to hold my baby in my arms and kiss the man who helped save us alongside his cousin. --- Aydems POV. The sun's wonderful dazzling light has dipped beyond the horizon, enveloping us in a blanket of twilight. I cast my gaze towards the window where Sandro's cot is stationed. The soft light from the moon rising illuminates the room and I take another sip from my crystal glass that is filled with a rich amber tone bourbon.

Elena urged, then turned and scurried away as if the room itself were cursed. Mary pushed the door open. The library was a two-story room filled with thousands of books, but the only light came from the fireplace, casting long, dancing orange shadows against the walls. A man was standing by the window, his back to her. He was tall, his shoulders broad under a black sweater, his presence so intense that the room felt smaller just by him being in it. He didn't turn around. He held a crystal glass of amber liquid, swirling it slowly.

Nerissa POV The howl that woke me was wrong. This was fractured at the edges. Cut short. The kind of howl that stops because the wolf making it no longer can. I was upright before I was fully awake. Zayden was already gone from the bed. The room was dark, the oil lamp on the far table burned down to almost nothing. Outside the window the sky was the deep black that sits between midnight and the first suggestion of dawn. Then the second howl came.

From my window, I could see some hushed activity around Crimson Sunset Quarters, but Maple Garden maintained its usual calm under Donna's new leadership. As night fell, I retired to my chambers, exhausted by the day's emotional tumult. Despite my weariness, sleep eluded me. I stared at the ceiling, thoughts churning. Had my revenge gone too far? No—William had shown me no mercy. Why should I extend what he himself had withheld? The moonlight streaming through my window cast elongated shadows across my bed. I watched them shift and dance as clouds passed overhead. Suddenly, the light disappeared completely. My room plunged into unnatural darkness.

Aedan Darkness lay thick across the room, as though the night itself were some heavy, living creature crouched between the walls. Only embers still glimmered in the hearth; their faint orange glow just grazed the edges of the furniture, while the cold moonlight spilling through the window etched pale patterns on the glass—like signs creeping in from the other side of the world. I woke to Nyra trembling beside me.
