The 99 Seconds

The 99 Seconds

“Everything is ready and set?, Inez asked “Yes, captain,” she said, a laughter bubbling in her voice. “Anything missing? “Just your presence,” Cassandra confessed, and they both broke into laughter. “I wish I could be there right now, Cass, but Theo won’t let me,” Inez grumbled. “Love birds,” Cassandra commented “Slow down, girl,” she said, while stirring the pancake dough in a ceramic bowl, speaking on speaker phone. “I am committed to supporting the doughnut,” Inez added.

The 99th Forgiveness

The 99th Forgiveness

The man hung his head low, his fingers buried deep in his hair, carefully considering where I might have gone. As his eyes wandered, they suddenly fell upon the trash can nearby. Those pink fragments looked so familiar that the moment he saw them, he felt like he couldn't breathe. He slowly crouched down, not caring that the cream stains would dirty his sleeves. He picked up the pieces from the trash can bit by bit. Then, he carefully assembled them back together. There were exactly 99 reconciliation vouchers. He remembered five years ago, when he had looked at those vouchers and sincerely promised me, "Cecilia, don't worry. I'll never give you a reason to use them."

“What are you talking about? I sent you four grand.” Summer mocked, “Oh, just give it up. I was there when Mom called you. She told you that the budget was four thousand dollars. “How can you claim that you got four hundred dollars? That’s quite a ridiculous cut you’re giving yourself.” With Summer backing Susan up, the family members’ disdain for me grew. Far away, in a place no map had ever recorded, a hooded figure watched a similar mirror break into pieces. The figure smiled. “So…” “The waiting is over.” He turned toward seven empty stone thrones arranged in a perfect circle. Only one remained unoccupied. “The Eighth has finally come home.”

The book has potential but needs major editing. I, myself is not so good in English too but I still write. The trick is knowing how to use simple words and research a lot..good luck with your work😇😇😇.

While the writing might need some editing, one cannot deny that the author is a gifted storyteller. She writes in a way that you can feel the main character, Tiara's anguish when she chooses her father over her mother and brother. Am definitely going to add this to my library.
