One Last Stop Casey Mcquiston Novels & Stories

She was lost in thought when Randy hopped back into the van. He pulled out his phone and started typing a message. "Just sent the video of Mike to the firm and Chloe. They can decide what to do with it. We're officially done with this case. Not bad for our first one from the firm. Less than thirty-six hours and done. Well, we need to go grab the tag from Mike's truck." "Drive," Cassie growled. After they retrieved the tag from Mike's truck, they drove back to the Starlight Motel. Cassie showered while Randy grabbed some ice for her bruised ass and shoulder. When she emerged from the shower, she was done, an emotional mess.

Casey said, "Well, it's also for your safety, he can give you an extra room in the city and a job so you can start a new life there. Just go to Santa Monica and look for him. He's the only one who can help you." I don't want to see Harper anymore, but I have to see him again, so I take the suitcase and nod my head hesitantly. We had a lot of misunderstandings between us while he was my ex-boyfriend, and I didn't know that I would have to beg for his help all this time. The trans woman walked towards me, and she handed me the ticket. I tapped her shoulder, “Thank you!” Casey glanced at her, “And who’s this woman? your new friend?”

Anyone would feel that way too, where they really want to talk about current or hot news. In that semi-conscious state, Aini almost missed the bus stop where she had to get off. He hurriedly called the driver to stop first. Luckily, the driver didn't grumble and allowed Aini to get off. After saying thank you, Aini immediately left the bus to see the office where she would continue her internship. All the memories he made there are now just so painful. The feeling of wanting to get out filled him, but he realized that such an effort was very futile and wasted all his hard work.

Cassie, in turn, took a few nibbles of hers to guarantee that her energized tummy was going to be able to process anything fair yet. Talon gulped the monster nibble he had taken out of the sandwich, swallowed a few coffee, and at that point looked at her with those dazzling blues. Cassie needed to swim in them, to have all the cares in the world dissipate as she showered profound interior him. “So, final night was,” he started, holding the glass of coffee in front of his lips, “pretty fucking amazing.” Cassie’s confront went hot once more. She had nourishment in her mouth, but she gave him a sweet grin, constraining herself to see absent from his charming gaze.

She said it loud enough for anyone around to actually hear, and in her defense, I did hear some scampering around after she did. I swallowed my pride and anger and let Casey let me in. She locked the door behind me, cementing my decision. “How large is it in here?” I asked her. I wanted to be close to him, but not too close. That morning was the last time I saw him, and I'm not sure we still have anymore things to say to each other, except, of course, why he's stalking me. “Large enough for y'all not to go bumping into yourselves.” Casey read my mind.

I wasn't as exceptional, but I had earned a decent reputation at the broadcasting station. Pretty much everyone assumed we were meant to be. No one realized the one he really cared about was the girl who had gone back to her hometown—his childhood sweetheart and the housekeeper's daughter, Celia Smith. "Don't go quiet on us. Is there some kind of misunderstanding? Don't do anything rash. I really think Sam cares about you…" Mr. Jameson babbled. "Alright, that's enough. Go somewhere else, would you?" Mr. Hall cut Mr. Jameson off before he could finish.

Rose Murdock's POV By the time I came back to my senses and quickly hung up the phone, I had already heard more than enough. There was a sheet of paper lying on the carpet. I picked it up—it was a medical report. The diagnosis read end-stage heart failure. In the patient column, the name written there was Adrian Sanders, the same one I had just heard on the phone. That was when I remembered the recent news regarding the leader of the pack's most powerful mercenary corps, Orion. He had suddenly announced that he would hand over his authority to his deputy.

“You're not.“ She whirled around to face me. “What?“ “You're not sorry, Casey. This was your plan all along.“ She folded her arms across her chest. “That's a strong accusation, T. You're starting to really piss me off.“ “Good. Because you succeeded in pissing me off the very instant you dropped into my lap and forced your lips on mine.“ Casey's eyes rolled so hard I was afraid they would get stuck behind her head. “Can you hear yourself, T? How can I force myself on you? I'm tiny compared to you.“ “You've gotten what you wanted, right?“ I asked, my voice hard as hell. “Because this is the last time you'd ever have any contact with me.“

It was the last time I ever set foot in the Falcone family's law firm. I could feel the cold marble grinding under my feet, and every step sent a shooting pain through my body. My leukemia was so far gone that I could barely walk, and even breathing was a struggle. "I would like to file for a divorce from Don Falcone." The lawyer in his fancy suit looked me over with pity in his eyes. "Did you come alone? That isn't how things are usually done—"

Ross grabbed the radio. "Can you identify it?" "Yes." "It matches the boat Isabella stole." Emma looked at Liam. "They're really going there." Liam nodded. "So are we." Ross turned toward the helicopter. "We leave immediately." As everyone climbed aboard, Emma looked one last time at the sea. Somewhere beyond the horizon... Edward Carter was waiting. Richard Holloway was in his hands. Isabella had the memory card. And the final battle was about to begin. Far away, on Black Reef Island, Edward Carter stood on the balcony of an abandoned mansion.
