Aurora is safe.” Luna closed her eyes and melted into Asher’s embrace, feeling safe and protected again. “It felt so real, Asher,” Luna whispered, her voice trembling. “It felt like I was watching you die. And I couldn’t do anything. I couldn’t stop it.” Asher pulled back slightly and looked down at Luna’s tear-streaked face, his gray eyes filled with love and concern. “It wasn’t real, Luna,” Asher said quietly but firmly. “It was just a nightmare. Nothing more.”
