Fear pulses through me, and I know I’m being silly because I have no reason to fear the person that the voice belongs to. I turn around slowly, preparing myself for another headache to hit, but nothing comes when I look at the person behind me. He’s an older man; dark hair with streaks of gray and what I’ve come to learn are Leonetti eyes. “You must be Cezar,” I say and watch as surprise flickers across his features. “You remember me?” I shake my head. “Nero told me about you when I asked him who all lives here,” I explain. “He mentioned his siblings and an uncle. I know he’s the eldest of his siblings, so you can only be Cezar.”

Madisyn questioned, squinting up at him after he ended the call. Caesar crouched down in front of the girls, noticing how much they resembled Amaliah, sharing her gray eye color and wearing matching pendants. "My name is Caesar Masterson. I'm a friend of your mother's," He answered. "What are your names?" "I'm Madisyn, and she's Micaela," Madisyn replied. "Will you bring Pedro back to us?"

“It wasn’t a lie. I’m with you. I’m not going back on my word.” He sighed, looking at the screen. “Our only clue is this ‘Aurelio’ shipment. I’ll have Enzo dig into it.” “Fine,” Julian nodded, a wave of relief washing over him. “But first,” Caesar said, a playful glint in his eye as he lifted Julian into his arms, “come back to bed. I miss you.” “We’ve been together all night! I’m still sore! Fuck, no!” Julian squealed, laughing despite himself as Caesar carried him back to the bed.
