The Greatest Regret

The Greatest Regret

My tone was steady, as though I were merely stating a fact. Silas’s face drained of all color. He knew, deep down, that it was his own doing—the trust he shattered with his own hands. He clutched my arm like a drowning man grasping for a lifeline. “We still have time. We have so much time ahead of us. Please…” I shook my head. “Silas, the marks of hurt never fade. When you refused to save Yael, when you accused and berated him without listening, it was already over. You made sure there wasn’t enough time for us.”

The Billionaire's wife

The Billionaire's wife

"I'm sorry if I've been a git. I'm sorry if I accuse you of cheating. I didn't have enough trust in you as I did to myself. I'm sorry if I can't be a good husband to you. I regret it all, believe me-" "Enough," she whispered and I look down to see her smiling at me. She pulled me closer and sniffed, "I know all of that already. Even if I hear you apologize, I am not certain if you are truly sorry for the things you have done. You're always saying 'sorry' for the sake of my forgiveness, but you are not showing regret for your actions. It's like a cycle: you do it, I forgive you then you do it again - how can I be sure that you are speaking from your heart

Sold to the Mafia king

Sold to the Mafia king

“All I'm trying to say is that if we lose this deal, there won't be another chance.” I exhaled heavily. “I know. I... I'm sorry for this.” The apology felt foreign on my tongue. I rarely apologized. In my world, every decision I made was calculated and justified. Regret wasn't something I entertained on a daily basis. Ever since what happened five years ago, regret has become a part of me. “It's fine, Carlino. Should we go?” he asked while straightening his collar, bending down to gather the files scattered across the pavement.

From Discarded Wife, Now the Untouchable Heiress

From Discarded Wife, Now the Untouchable Heiress

He looked at me like he was searching for something-a crack, a weakness, a reason to believe I didn’t mean it. “I regret every moment with you,” I said. My voice was calm, but every word cut deep. “Every single one. I regret trying. I regret loving you. I regret begging. I regret offering you everything and getting nothing back. I regret wasting three years of my life on someone who never saw me as anything more than a business transaction.” My voice didn’t shake. “I regret all of it, you asshole.” Damon’s face changed. His mouth twitched, his eyes flickered. For a second, I thought I saw pain — real pain — but it didn’t matter anymore.

 Hate You, Love You

Hate You, Love You

"One can't come back to life after death. Things will get better in time. In fact, such an ending should be good for them. After all, they have been imprisoned for a lifetime and lost their freedom. You're the only person who could make them happy. In fact, your parents are old and how do you expect them to spend their whole lives in prison? They've sacrificed too much. Carmel, you can't be so selfish." "I understand your point, but I just can't let go and can't bear it. If I had known that they would do this, I would never be so cold and distant to them. I actually regret it. I was afraid to face the truth, but I didn't expect..." Her heart was filled with sorrow and regret. "Ned gently pat

My boss’s brother wants me and so does my husband

My boss’s brother wants me and so does my husband

I noticed his jaw tightened, and his his fists clenched at his sides. “But let me make something really clear,” I continued. “If there’s anything I’ve been to you, to this marriage, it’s being loyal. I poured my everything into us, into making sure this marriage worked, into making sure we got our happily ever after like we wanted. But it’s so unfortunate that it’s been cut short. Do I regret falling in love with you? No, I don’t. Do I regret marrying you? No, I don’t. Do I regret thinking about spending forever with you? Of course not. But I regret shrinking myself and deluding myself into thinking that I needed to give you more time, into thinking that maybe you’d come around eventually. I

Silenced Bride, Relentless Love

Silenced Bride, Relentless Love

Years of disappointment. Years of loneliness. Adrian looked down. Then away. Then back toward the screen. His eyes had changed. Ava noticed immediately. Regret. Raw regret. The kind impossible to hide. Because suddenly he understood. She had not stopped loving him. She had stopped hoping. And perhaps that was even sadder. For several moments neither spoke. Eventually Adrian exhaled slowly. The sound carried emotion. More emotion than words. “I am sorry.” The words arrived quietly. Without performance. Without expectation.

After The Night In Miami

After The Night In Miami

Julian’s mouth curves, small and sad and hopeful. I clutch the locket tighter. And for now, it’s enough. For now , dinosaur pancakes and burnt batter and a little boy who doesn’t know the world is trying to break his mother in half. It has to be enough . Because the alternative is letting go . And I’m not ready to do that yet .

Entangle

Entangle

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. Boston, USA Regret is a strong emotion, so strong that it has the capacity to keep you trapped in the past forever. When a bout of regret strikes you, it cripples you from within. Like creepy insects crawling under your skin. Your own brain paralyzes you into submission and you are stuck in an era bygone, stuck in the loop of “what could have been”. It was a cool evening and the setting sun was beautifying the sky as if it was a Van Gogh masterpiece. A blood red Maybach is cruising along a deserted stretch of the highway overlooking lush green countryside. An enigmatic sight, a beautiful mechanic beast cruising

Married by Mistake: Mr. Whitman's Sinner Wife

Married by Mistake: Mr. Whitman's Sinner Wife

Her eyes turned red unknowingly while tears filled her eyes. She did not forget those words Ryan said to her in the last second before he lost consciousness. “I’m sorry.” Ryan had only whispered weakly, but those three words lingered clearly in Madeline's mind. At that moment, she saw the sincerity and regret on Ryan's face. Ryan’s most unforgettable regret was driving her to the brink of insanity. He knew that he was not qualified to be forgiven by Madeline, but at least, he wanted her to know that he did not actually want to push her to such a point.

Rosemary Matamba
l think madeline and jeremy are not wise people why to they keep deveived by others they keep falling in people's traps you would think that by now they know that you can't trust people so l tired of the same thing happening to them the content of the book is the same betrayal over and over again
Jovelyn Forcadilla
I think the writer of this book is very cruel in real life. Because all she wrote here about Madeline's life is full of agony. I love reading novels, but sometimes with this type of story, I think it's better to not continue reading this. Coz, I also felt what Maddie felt. .........
