"YOUR One?! Are you--" Shawn flinched as Scarlett softly broke away from his hold. "Sc-Scarlett? W-what are you...doing?" A satisfied smirk muddled across Zayne's gleeful lips as Scarlett broke out of his hold by her own will. Shawn still tried to hold on to her, until her supernatural strength started to kick in. Shawn's raised his strength to stop her. His jaw laggardly dropped with shock, Scarlett, or rather her Vamp side, turned to him with salty tears and a disappointed frown before him. Like a string that’s been pulled too tight, my sanity snaps.

Thankfully, we had time. “Get on with it,” Shane sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair. Odis turned from us and Gabe went with him. The crowd parted for them. My mate grabbed my hand and brought it up to his lips. Obsidian eyes I fell for the moment I saw them the first time stared down at me. “Just a few more hours until forever,” I breathed. My heart felt as if it was going to burst. “I can’t wait,” he growled. “Alpha,” Odis called.

This tradition doesn't have an after-party because no one is safe until the next 24 hours have passed. Everyone's faces were relieved and Rossie sighs, smiling at the rest of the girls.
