One Word Summer Captions

What inspired you to write One Promise? You see, when I was young, life was tough. I grew up with a broken family. I never felt the love I wanted all my life. I've always love reading. That's when I found my new comfort through writing. Then I held on to it because it gave me hope. It gave me another way to ease my broken self cause I needed to. Just when I thought I already hit rock bottom with all these pain I felt ever since I was a kid, God must've still felt the need to push me more by leaving me with a monstrous dad but I saw how God changes him. So I wrote this story for my dad.

"We will never come back here next summer. We won't." Kuya Dusk's voice sounded with finality. I heard my brothers sighed heavily. They both kissed me in my forehead, and the next thing I knew, my vision were blocked by darkness. I am to reckless for giving trust. I am a foolish when I gave love. It's all absurd, but I did all that. For him, for the man I thought of never gonna hurt me. I want to forget you. I hope I could wake up tomorrow with no worries, tomorrow that I will no longer remember you, Trevor. I wish I could forget how I gave my whole stupid heart to you.

Habang masayang masaya ito hindi man lang alam ni Edrick na may isang taong sobrang nasasaktan at nasasaksihan ang kaganapan na iyon. Samantalang parang na estatwa naman si Trisha sa kanyang kinatatayuan at hindi na nya nagawang lapitan si Edrick hanggang sa namalayan nya na lang na papalayo na ito sakanya na kasama ang isang babae. Makalipas ang limang na taon ay bumalik ang lalaki sa Pilipinas. Laking gulat nila na sa pag balik nito ay sya na ang naging substitute professor nila. Gagawin lahat ni Edrick mabawi lang nya ulit ang tanging babaeng minahal nya. Nasaktan nya ito ng sobra kaya sa kahit anong paraan ay babawiin nya ito at pinangako sa sariling hinding hindi nya na muli itong iiwanan at sasaktan pa. Muli nga kaya syang bigyan ng pangalawang pagkakataon ni Trisha? Maging pamilyar pa kaya ang mga puso nila sa LOVE?

Everything comes crashing down as my eyes widen into his. Both of our breathing labored but his hands not releasing me. “Grace.” He says breathlessly. Why I’m so scared to just tell them the truth, so I decide to lie. “I’m sorry, Gunner. I like all three of you. I’m not going to choose, so I’ve just decided I wouldn’t be with any of you. It’s not fair to you guys.” I don’t wait for him to respond, I run out the door and down the steps, landing face first in Dean’s chest. He pulls me up and wraps my legs around his waist causing me to gasp. “Who said we’d make you choose, Bambi?” And before I can respond his lips are on mine.

I double over in pain after assisting Adrian Randall with a late-night operation. He immediately carries me to a ward to check on me. However, before he can do that, he receives a call from a patient and hurries off. That night, I miscarry. When I come out of the operating theater, I see his childhood friend's social media update. She's shared a photo of her baby bump. "He hurried to come to my side just because I was lost. You have to treat Adrian well in the future, my darling!" I rub my belly, which throbs with a dull ache. I don't cry and demand an explanation from Adrian as I would have in the past. Instead, I like the post and apply for a position on the Borderless Medical Assistance Program. The day I leave, the high and mighty Dr. Randall looks at me with red-rimmed eyes. He asks, "How can you bear to leave me behind?"
