Onyx And Obsidian Novels & Stories

As he screamed louder, his hair shone brighter. Taegen was struggling with the pumas. He was surrounded by four of them, so he needed to stay focused in order not to let them bite him. Everyone was busy fighting, Nylian against the ogres, Ayas against the knights, Ruvyn using his magic to make some light and keep the Dark Creatures away from them.

It was at this moment that he vowed he’ll always love this baby and protect it no matter what. “You have your momma's eyes, you know that?” he whispered again. Sebastian had gorgeous green eyes, just like Sierra. His other features resembled Colton except for the eyes. Everyone said Sebastian will grow up to be just like Colton, but Colton actually saw a lot of Sierra in him. Like the way he laughed for example. Sebastian laughed like his mommy. They both laugh with their faces, and their eyes would disappear completely into a smile.

She felt very small. Up ahead, she saw a house. But it did not look like a normal house. It was not made of wood. It was not made of bricks. It was made of black glass. The glass was dark and shiny. The house looked like a giant box of shadows sitting on the cliff. There were no trees around it. There were no flowers. There was only the black glass and the gray sky. People called this house "The Obsidian." It was a very expensive and a very scary place.

This silence felt like a man stepping past the place where feeling could still slow his hand, into the colder arithmetic of what the full scope demanded. Kieran had infiltrated the edges of Obsidian through Liliana long before I ever arrived. The design was older than the treaty, older than the bond, older than the claim that had finally forced it into the light. And the man who had to answer that truth had gone so quiet that the absence of his anger had become the loudest thing in the room.

"How were you able to identify it at all?" Dennis seemed to remember then that she was still fairly new to the operation and he calmed himself down to explain. "You see, Miss Months, every item in Olympus's storage has been tagged with a Doomsday beacon, which as the name implies, is only activated when said item is activated in a such a manner as to be classified as a doomsday.

Controlled and edged with the polished authority of a born negotiator. “They fashion wonders from obsidian. Although, not just mere trinkets. Old magic lies within that glass.” he stated. She turned the pendant in her fingers, feeling the cold that lingered at its core. Obsidian was rare across all the continents, it was found only in the mountains ruled by the Tungsten Wolves. A living legend now. What began as stone, they carved into art and weapon alike. No wonder its beauty was sought after in every court. Merenrys' mind sketched the possibilities. A line of trade. Perhaps, or a new way to weave strength into the very walls of her city. Something that would make her people stand apart,

"We can't afford to make any mistakes." Eryz nodded, heading out with a few men. The narrow path was the fastest way for the wolves to reach them. But it was narrow, full of trees that would aid the Ouroboros' first defense against the wolves. Outside, the men arranged their weapons for the outer field, before the hills that led to their home. Their weapons were impressive, large and wickedly crafted, forged from obsidian and ancient dragon bone known to resist force. Their blades were intricately crafted, mostly curved with sharp ends. Spears shot out chains with sharp edges, capable of severing an enemy's neck.

Lady Chen nodded and threw two shining crystals to her. Sara grabbed them and noticed that they were Obsidian. What are these? "They are Obsidian credits they are the way we trade within the sect, you can say all other forms of exchange are null except one has obsidian credits". 'One hundred Credits for a little show, these guys are crazy.' However, all the youths were staring at hee with wide eyes with the exception of Justin that had his head lowered. "I believe that we can move on now." Lady Chen spoke and the other Elders nodded at her suggestion.

It’s to be expected, I guess, given she’s never truly had a childhood. We walk into what looks like a jewellery store, but it doesn’t look like an overly expensive one. Sasha walks towards the counter to speak to the owner while I browse. There were beautiful timepieces on display, and I contemplated buying one for Michael to say thank you for everything until one particular timepiece caught my attention. It was jet black, and the label said it was made from obsidian ore, with silver and gunmetal inlays. But that wasn’t what caught my attention; it was the engraving on the edge of the face:
