She paused, taking a breath before continuing. "It was that night that something inside Wally snapped. I'd never seen him so angry, so full of rage," Mrs. Walter said, her voice shaking. "He became distant, closed off. He'd wake up in the middle of the night screaming, clutching at his chest like he couldn't breathe.
