His Fanged Luna

His Fanged Luna

Maybe being human wasn't about giving up the extraordinary. Maybe it was about finding the extraordinary in being ordinary. Even if it meant having to remember how to use doors again.

The Billionaire’s 30-Day Debt.

The Billionaire’s 30-Day Debt.

is almost done. "Do they still need me, Dad?" Avery asked, watching the city glow with the "Amber-Hearts" of its people. "They don't need a 'Sovereign', Avery," Silas replied, placing a hand on her shoulder. "They need a 'Neighbor.'" The narrative has reached the "Phase of the Somatic-Unity." In every professional circle and every household, the story of Avery Vane-Thorne is being recommended as the "Manual for the New-Humanity"—a work of "Unparalleled-Clarity" that defines the "Height of the Professional-Writing-Standard."

Reagan: The Cursed Alpha King

Reagan: The Cursed Alpha King

I asked picking the unusual word in his sentence. “Yes, Humans.” He answered. “Yeah, I heard that.. but what are humans?” I asked frustratedly. I’ve never heard of the word before. Are they also some kind of monsters too? I glanced around and saw that I wasn't the only one looking at Dolphus curiously. Even Eira too was looking at him curiously. I guess the rumors she heard weren't detailed as she thought. “They are not monsters like vampires. They don't have any supernatural abilities except that they don't shift like us and they also aren't blood sucking like the monsters.”

Their Human

Their Human

Maybe speak to Sharlene if I actually see her. I walked into the cafeteria and was engulfed by the familiar smell of multiple meals and pastries. I wondered what was today's special. Walking to the counter to make an order, I greeted the lady that usually serves lunch. She looked to be in her sixties as her large grey afro was visible under the hairnet she wore. Her dark skin was full of wrinkles and she had the kindest smile I've ever seen. She was absolutely beautiful, just like her home in Africa.

MY SECOND-CHANCE MATE IS A WOLF HUNTER

MY SECOND-CHANCE MATE IS A WOLF HUNTER

He was definitely a special case. Phoenix sighed. “It may be surprising to you, but not all humans are bad you know.” Phoenix said. I frowned. “If you’re talking about yourself then-.” Phoenix waved his hand and cut me off with a smile. “I can’t say anything for myself of course. I’m not the kind of guy to brag about himself.” Phoenix laughed. “I find it distasteful.” He said. My brows furrowed. “Then?” I asked. “I'm talking about normal humans, not invocates or hunters. Like the common villagers we met earlier in Barley.” Phoenix said.

I feel so refreshed reading this. Phoenix is a vibe. And the FL, she's just too funny. She knows nothing abd asks about everything. Nice to see her grow from her mate's betrayal. But, am worried about something. Phoenix is nice to Morning, but I'm scared he has an ulterior motive that's still hidden

This is wonderful, I was really expecting morning to be a soft, damsel in distress only for her to rampage and kill those bloody bastards. I felt satisfaction at that point, seeing too many weak female leads have done something to my mental health. I'm happy the author makes the female lead strong

A Queen Among Darkness

A Queen Among Darkness

They would show more respect to a dung beetle than they would to one of us. The thing is, we may be supernatural, but we are still human too. If you looked at our blood you would still see the clear signs of the human genome. We just have some additional cells as well. Excluding irshiusts and raitruums, we all come from humans, we just have a few extra quirks. But do they care about that? No. Why? Because they all drank the Kool-Aid and now believe the sales pitch like it’s fucking gospel. It’s equally sad and pathetic.

Denae O'Connor
This is by far my favorite book in this entire series. Not every author can write a same-sex relationship and make it so layered and nuanced instead of "corny". A.D. Burnell is a Queen Among Authors, and I can't wait until they get thr recognition they so thoroughly deserve.

One of the things i love about this series is that you think you know everything, and then you start the next book and so many layers are peeled back that blow your mind. it makes this the most addictive series ever

My Human Mate

My Human Mate

Everything I thought about this was wrong. " Simply not believing that something doesn't exist, doesn't mean it doesn't. As much as humans exist in this world, many other entities are present as well. Humans are just exceptional beings on earth because that is how it has always been. Supernatural entities reside in the shadows because humankind can not handle the existence of other beings other than themselves. We hide our true existence not because we are scared but because we want to maintain peace and prevent bloodshed. Everything you think doesn't exist, does." He declared with finality. My mouth was agape in shock and confusion. It's a lot to take in. My mind was still trying to process

Her human mate

Her human mate

She blew some air on it and took away the plaster, displaying a nonchalant attitude towards her injuries. She came outside and sat on a bench, the evening shadows casting a contemplative veil over her features. The unexpected clash in the gym had unveiled a side of her that transcended the confines of societal judgments. The interplay of pride, prejudice, and the subtle complexities of human interaction had woven a narrative that, for a brief moment, bridged the chasm between two vastly different worlds.

love this book...the way the writer builds up the characters most especially the ML..but i was wondering why would the ML have to endure such humiliations from his inlaws when he could just show them his real 'him' as well and the enormous power that he holds considering the status of his family...w

Frequently Asked Questions

Oh, that book by 'An Ordinary Man'? I think you might mean the autobiography by Paul Rusesabagina, the hotel manager who sheltered people during the Rwandan genocide. The core of it isn't a fictional plot, it's his real, harrowing account of those 100 days in 1994. He details how he used his wits, negotiation skills, and the perceived neutrality of the Hotel des Mille Collines to protect over 1,200 Tutsi and moderate Hutu refugees from the Interahamwe militias.

It's a tense, day-by-day chronicle of bribery, bluffing, and constant phone calls to international contacts, all while surrounded by unspeakable violence. The 'plot' is his struggle to maintain this fragile sanctuary as supplies dwindle and pressure mounts. Reading it, you're just gripped by the sheer precariousness of the situation and his desperate, pragmatic heroism. It's one of those stories that stays with you because it really happened.
