Orion opened his eyes slowly, blinking back the darkness curling around the edge of his sight. The darkness gradually cleared and the world around him came into focus. Around him, there was nothing but an endless abyss. Black stretched infinitely in every direction, swallowing sound, time, and sense. And yet, in the center of that void, a figure hovered before him, radiant, serene and untouched by the darkness around them. It was the goddess, Selene and somehow, the most innate part of him recognised his maker.

I could feel something moving through me, an attraction that I hadn’t felt before. Sure, he was tall, dark, and handsome. His cheekbones were high and his body looked like something that had been molded by the gods. It didn’t explain why a part of me wanted to lay my head down against him. To rub my cheek against his scarred chest, press my lips against those four ragged lines. “I’m a dragon and I've claimed you as my mate.” I didn’t say anything to him, I didn’t know what that meant. A dragon, that I was his mate. How was I supposed to respond to that?

"What?" Azalia couldn't believe her ears. Surely, she hadn't heard Melech right. "A dragony?" She repeated in a puzzled voice. "Nobody in their right mind would ride such a dangerous creature." Dragonies were small dragon-like creatures belonging to the Adom Kingdom. They were a dark orange colour, their wings and bodies covered with red scales strong enough to stop a blade. They were gorgeous but could breathe fire and had extremely sharp fangs and claws that could kill a man on the spot. Azalia would never dare approach one of those too close.

I tell her. She looks at him, still clinging to me. “You were there? In that awful place?” “I was, little fire dragon,” he says, carefully leaning his head toward her. She reaches forward and touches his snout. “Why do I feel drawn to you?” she asks, not realizing that she understands his dragon’s language. “He’s our Alpha,” Morgan says, walking up. “I’m Morgan. I’m a water dragon.” Nova looks at me, then at Ancalagon and Morgan. “Zephyr says I’m a fire dragon and elf, but I was always just a human.”

CX125 might mean “facility C, row X, egg #125.” “Oaestr,” I repeat, tilting my head as I walk in a slow circle around her, taking in every element of her very unusual appearance. Maybe wherever she’s wherever we are now, her name isn’t as unique, or as powerful–I can’t imagine anyone who would dare name their children after one of the oldest gods. “That name belongs to a very special dragon where I come from,” I explain. “They call her the Mother of Us All. From here, all the other dragon species on our planet were born.”

Brother? He released Winter, who immediately pouted but didn’t resist. The man then straightened his robe and posture. “Allow me to introduce myself. I am Oragon,” he said clearly. “The Phoenix Beast.” A murmur rippled across the hall. He gestured toward Winter beside him. “And this is Daemon, the guardian spirit of nature. He may appear like a child, but he’s older than anyone here.” Then his gaze slid to Fenrir. “Well… almost anyone here.”

He was the deepest thinker of all, so it is natural that he never misses a point. “You are right, Dad C. The first type of dragons who produce their own power are known as ‘Imperial Dragons’. They mostly use their spirit animal’s energy which is the hardest to harness,” I answered patiently but was interrupted by Dad Valen. “Xador ?! Is he one of them ?” he asked.

Anala says, just as I hear a roar in the stadium. I turn and see that Morgan has shifted into a gorgeous blue dragon, the color of blue topaz, a water dragon. “Is she a pure dragon?” I ask, completely enthralled with her glittering scales. “Yes, she’s like me, hatched in a lab,” Anala says distractedly. The talking in the stadium has stopped and all eyes are on the claim below. “You are mine, Morgan,” Aithlin says stepping forwad. Morgan roars, water pouring out of her mouth like a heavy waterfall.

“Master, what would you like us to do? You need only whisper your command, and we will follow.” Evrah grabbed the wood harder, her gaze darting quickly from left to right, trying to get a closer look. She spotted a big shimmering black dragon that seemed to be looking right at her. The big eye blinked, its big frame fidgeting a bit. A huge black and silver mass of scales and muscles sat directly across from her, its ginormous purple eyes had her dead to rites, and they both knew it. “Please don't give me way,” she whispered, shaking from fear. She cursed that her curiosity had gotten her noticed. The dragon blinked a final time and averted its eyes somewhere else as if it had heard her whisp

Since defeating Jonas, four more eggs had hatched, giving her another Sea Serpent (this one a female), a female Horned Dragon from the Far East, a male Stone Dragon from the Rocky Mountains of the United States, and a male Quetzalcoatl from Central America.
