They rear animals, they plant crops, they plant trees, they have builders, they have a school, they have a very big church, they have a clinic, they have a library that holds all history, they have traders and so they have everything life could offer but little money, not that they care since one is ready to accept a basket of vegetables or a livestock, or four stacks of hay, or a portion of farmland or as little money as possible as payment when they work for you.

They did not complain in the least. The town they lived in was called Old Crows Town. Anderson could not recall where that was? It was not like he knew everywhere, but he had a nagging feeling he was either in an extremely remote pace somehow off the map, or he was in another world with different countries. I understand it’s hard to farm when it's constantly sunny and there is limited water but even by our low standards this town was wrecked. It was sobering stuff, not helped by the fact Rhett was still icy. We had room’s laid on by the town mayor, a pudgy, greasy man who reeked of wealth despite the fact his town barely had an intact pavement, someone Alpha Fyrestone had probably owed a favour to once upon a time.
