I sucked it up quickly, and decided it was pointless to beat around the bush. "I was hoping that I would be able to read a book with information on Reavers. I don't know much about them, but if I may be one, I think I have a right to know more." I said, hoping he would know what book I meant, this being a dream and all. "You mean the book from the other day?" He questioned, as he snapped his fingers and produced a book with a silver spine. It was the exact book from my last dream. I longed to get my hands on it.

Liam pov I woke with a gasp, heart pounding in my chest. The dream had been so vivid, so real—not the usual disjointed nonsense of sleep but something deeper, more coherent. In it, he had been standing in a bookstore, watching a woman with auburn hair reaching for a volume on a high shelf. Her fingers had fallen just short, and I had stepped forward without hesitation, retrieving the book and handing it to her with a smile. When she turned, her green eyes lighting with gratitude, I felt a jolt of recognition. This was after I found her beaten and bloodied at the border I patrolled. “It won’t happen overnight, mind you. But once the guild heads back out for their pack audits in a couple of weeks, I’ll be able to get you out of here.” She nodded, pushing the last of the food around her plate. “Why are you doing this?” The question caught me off guard, although I wasn’t sure why. I’d known it was coming eventually. I thought about brushing it off, telling her it was just the right thing to do. But the words didn’t come. Instead, I shifted, staring at the lantern flickering between us. “I’ve been having dreams,” I admitted, the words sounding strange even to me. “For years now. About a waterfall.”

“Or stand in the clearing without shoes?” Her head snapped toward me, her eyes wide. Confusion and something else—an almost electric curiosity—flared there. “How do you know that?” she asked, setting the book aside. “Because… someone used to come into my dreams too. Whenever I was in pain.” I gave a short laugh, though the sound felt strange. She studied me for a few long moments, her gaze searching my face. Then she chuckled, shaking her head. “That’s… weird. Meeting in dreams? Sounds like something out of a cliché romance.”

My dream is over and now I'm awake. ... ...

My eyes were glued to my fingers which I was shyly fumbling with while chomping on my bottom lip. “I—umm—no.” I breathed. “I didn’t perceive you as the naughty kind, I’m impressed.” His husky voice echoed in my ear as he spoke. “Jake—I am not like that.” I tried to justify my actions. “Really now, miss cute? Are you denying the obvious fact that you were having a wild sex dream about a book character? And that you were yelling his name like your life depended on it.” He teased me. “I was dreaming about the book itself and the characters in it.” I managed a lie.

Alora’s POV I woke up feeling surprisingly refreshed, the remnants of a vivid dream clinging to my mind. I stretched my arms above my head, feeling a rare sense of happiness wash over me. The book I read yesterday had seeped into my dreams, transporting me to a world where love was pure, uncomplicated, and all-consuming. I reached out, pausing an inch away from her wrapped hands, waiting until she slowly, hesitantly slid her fingers out from beneath the fleece to meet mine. "The dream didn't build a perfect version of you," I murmured, gently wrapping my large, scarred hand around her raw fingers. "The dream simply allowed me to see your soul before the world bruised your body. Reality isn't going to break anything, little one. It's just going to give me the chance to prove that I'm real enough to hold you through the daylight, too."

Damien explained and hung his arm over Jade's stomach. “I tried to home medicate on my own because there were no pharmacies open by that time. But night came and I couldn't sleep. I heard wolves howling from far off. Like hypnotism, I left home again and followed the sounds till it landed me in a forest and I saw many others like me.” He continued his explanation but Jade was getting scared now. Had she just made a mistake? He heard her thought but decided to ignore it for the moment and carry on with his narration.
