*Isabella* The creak of the wagon wheels’ monotonous lullaby starkly contrasts with the chaotic howls and traditional camp songs that still echo in my ears. Last night, several of the packs travelin’ west got together on the outskirts of St. Louie for a final farewell. Chet and I communicated through the mind-link and stolen glances across the campfire, surrounded by both our families and friends. The wild west feels so close and yet still so far away as we travel northwest through corn and wheat fields today.

“Go on…” “She didn’t stay here often, the old woman. But every time she came, she brought books for Hale. Crates of them, actually. Histories, old crafts, herbcraft, healing — and records of the East.” His voice drops. “I never went near them. Half the family thought she was mad, and the things she kept weren’t the kind of things you read for pleasure. But they’re still here. Locked in the old east library, gathering dust.” He pauses. “There might be something in them, Ember. About the East. About Caelora. Even about this — Maiden of the Long War your wolf named herself. Maybe… Maybe even something that might help with healing Rayana.” My heart is pounding. “You’d let me—”

Millan speculated before shaking his head and focusing on things that should matter more now. “No. But it did hold up pretty well.” Millan can’t help his cheeky grin. Why is it fun to make Weston that furious? “It held up pretty w- Okay. Enough. I’m not giving this crazy idea any more room to grow.” Weston has gotten all the books back on the shelves except for the one Millan is holding. The smaller wolf follows the Alpha’s gaze and presses the surviving book to his chest protectively. “Not this one! I’m reading this one.”

It's a hardbound book with a coat and its title is gold. I opened it and raised my eyebrows because what was written there was typed. That means this book is from outside of Wysteria.

What should I make with my ‘creation’ skill then? *stares at the outside He saw the sea and the boats and the yachts. “!!!!” That’s right, I’ve been saying it since earlier but it hasn’t gone to me! The transportation that is mainly used in the western and northern continent, the air ships! I should make a our very own sky ship. The protagonist of the story in my novel actually has a sky ship as well. I wonder what point in the story are we currently? Wait, is the story currently happening now or Bathala just made the world in my novel and didn’t follow the plot of the story? If that were what is happening then I can do whatever I want.

I had never asked him where he came from. Is the West not the same place the lab guy confirmed the healing balms come from? Everything was coming at me all at once. My legs seemed wobbly now. I managed to sit on the bed, looking intensely at the paper in my hand as my brain spun with thoughts. I reached for my phone, typing furiously. “Everything I need to know about the Western Pack.” And just like that, everything that concerned the West popped up. I scrolled, going from one page to another, but… nothing was interesting.

Fighting only made it worse. The land whispered back. Far away— too far for any normal wolf to hear, I felt movement. Not singular. Not random. Organized. Eastward, the earth pulsed with something heavy and cruel. A pressure that crawled along my spine like cold fingers tracing bone. Gregon. And westward— I took in a breath. The west wasn’t loud. It didn’t scream or claw or rot. It moved with purpose. Tight, controlled, and sharp in a way that made my instincts prickle uneasily.

There was little chance of starting a major fire here, and it was a little more sheltered since there were plenty of trees blocking the wind. Now, she stood on the edge of the water, her palms together and her elbows out, like some sort of yoga pose. Sweat dripped from her hairline as she glared at a book lying on the ground. It was an old copy of The Omega’s Role, which was an outdated take on Alpha and Omega dynamics—it basically advocated that Omegas should be happy to die for their Alphas if the Alpha wanted to brutally murder them. As such, it wasn’t one that we cared about damaging if this went wrong. Ruby glanced at me from the corner of her eye.

“Amoux, I think I know the answer. It would help if you went back to the Nightwalker and searched for the big book. I thought it was hidden in the small garden that Richelle was taking care of when she was alive.” “Are you sure about that, Leah? But how do you think she will keep the book in that place?” “Richelle told me that the Lycan doesn't want to go there, but I don't know why. So there was a big chance that the book was there!” “Why doesn't the Lycan like to go there?” We were all clueless when we heard a loud slam at the door. “If you all find the book, for sure, we will know why Lycan didn't want to go there anymore.”
