Valerie "It's time for celebration!!" Shay yelled before getting a knife from the kitchen and popping the bottle open. She didn't bother for glasses and took a swig directly from the bottle before giving it to me. I looked at the bottle and then at Shay. We were the same. I didn't mind taking swigs directly. As soon as they left, another set of waiters approached Chris and Vivian and served them appetizers. “Christopher Ryan Smith!” A very familiar voice called. Chris stood up, almost gave Edward a handshake but Edward pulled him into a hug instead. “It’s been a while buddy. I’m so happy to see you!” Edward smiled, pulling away from the hug. “Same here. The lie would start falling apart. So I walked to the café three blocks from campus. It wasn’t a pack place, just a cozy little fusion café with warm lights, polished wooden tables, and the best hot chocolate I’d ever tasted. They served everyone there — shifters and vampires. I knew Valentine's day was a big deal especially among shifters, but I didn't expect this small non-pack café was packed too. Almost every table full — mostly shifter couples sharing plates, splitting desserts, laughing at each other's phones. Heart-shaped paper cutouts taped to the windows. Valentine landed on the bed and was thankful that she didn't get injured. She closed her eyes as she tried to get over what just happened. "I am Valentine. You shouldn't treat me this way." She spat even though she knew that the drug he just took was affecting him just like every other that he took. "I'm smashing the fucking Valentine. Get over it!" He replied and lay on the bed. Valentine looked at him for a while and didn't know if she should regret coming over or not.

I smiled, reaching out and pulling her in my embrace. “Thank you, Riv’s. Trust me, I feel the same way for you, but thank you, your words mean so much to me. I promise never to withhold any vile information.” She winked and smiled, crossing her heart. “Okay, now tell me everything,” I said, wrapping an arm around her neck. _________ Valentine’s was just a few days away and I wanted to make it special. Zach is good at surprises and he always melted my heart. Even when we were younger the guy knew me so well. I may not have had a boyfriend, but as a friend, he always delivered.

The woman shoved the waiter away and hissed, “Move! I’m here to catch my boyfriend in the act! “He’s been spending all this money on Valentine's Day to see her! This group of people seemed like the bad sort. Whoever they were after was going to be in a world of trouble.
