Evergreen

Evergreen

The sun was disappearing asllater stepped into the clearing with the small stream running through it, the tiny brook of water frozen over. The sky was a watercolor of oranges and yellows blending together, turning the tops of the trees into dark silhouettes. I stopped by the stream for a few moments to just take it in, appreciating the way such a normally dynamic element was rendered static with such a thin sheet of ice. I heard the footsteps after a few minutes. They were faint at first, but soon they were unmistakable; step after step echoing through the silent woodland. I turned toward the trees surrounding the small clearing, trying to figure out from which way the footsteps were coming

Olympus

Olympus

he said to her before they walked out. As it turned out, Dennis hadn't been exaggerating when he had called the division Olympus. It was, in fact, an Olympus. From what Megan could deduce from the chilly, seemly thin air that greeted them immediately they stepped out into the open, the building was actually constructed within a mountain to open at its top through the passageway they had taken. Everywhere she looked, bright blue afternoon sky stretched as far as she could see; a great silence reigning over the environment to be punctuated every few seconds by the sound of waves crashing against rocks below.

Lillian Blackwood

Lillian Blackwood

I pull into Mum’s driveway; it’s a long wide road lined with pink flowering dogwood trees. It’s beautiful this time of year. Abbey and Quinn did an excellent job on the landscaping. The driveway opens up into a circle; in the middle of the ring is a small garden and bench seating under the shade of a large oak tree.

Addicted To The Legacy Alpha

Addicted To The Legacy Alpha

Zane plants a brief kiss on my mouth and pulls me with him. We are at some kind of bamboo forest off Moon Wood's territory. Inside, you can barely see the sky. The bamboo's are so tall and clustered that they cover almost everything. There's a paved walkway through the forest. I'm in awe of how lovely nature can be. I've never seen one of these, but they certainly exist beyond Carodia. There's a tiny space between the tall bamboo above the walkway. I can see bits of the night sky and its pretty stars. Zane clasps his hands behind his back. I can tell he's waiting to hear what I have to say.

Saltwater Kisses

Saltwater Kisses

I hissed like a vampire as bright sun flooded the room. “It is a gorgeous day outside. You haven’t been out of this hotel room in over three days and—” “I went to the courtyard on Monday!” I interjected. He gave me a look that made it very clear what he thought of that. “The courtyard doesn’t count as outside. The crab apple trees are blooming and you are within walking distance of one of the largest collections of flowering crab apple trees in the world. Arie den Boer Arboretum is just down the road. You are going to get up, get dressed, and go take a walk. Absorb nature.”

Elemental Lycan : The Devine Elemental

Elemental Lycan : The Devine Elemental

The Blackwood territory didn't look like a fortress anymore. It looked like Eden. The jagged, rocky soil that used to border the northern edge of the estate was gone. In its place stretched acres of impossible orchards. Apple trees grew beside mango trees. Wheat fields waved golden in the sun, right next to patches of frost-resistant berries native to the tundra. Leela stood in the center of the "Classroom"—a large open-air pavilion surrounded by soil beds. She was huge

And we will find our place within it, together. As we continue forward, the trees begin to thin out once more. Sunlight filters through the branches, illuminating a path that leads to a clearing ahead. "Look!" Eden exclaims, pointing excitedly. "It's a village!" We emerge onto a small hillside overlooking a vibrant community nestled among the trees. Houses made of wood and stone blend seamlessly into the forest, adorned with colorful flowers and twinkling lights. Laughter and music drift on the breeze, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

His Rejected Mate, His Contract Wife

His Rejected Mate, His Contract Wife

Susan sat comfortably on a green wooden bench, a knitting basket resting on her lap. Her eyes never left the playground area twenty yards away. There, four-year-old Zach and Heidi were completely occupied with a large wooden sandbox. Heidi was busy building what she claimed was a giant castle for forest fairies, while Zach used a plastic yellow shovel to dig a protective trench around it. The peaceful atmosphere violently shifted when a heavy, regal scent of rich cedarwood and fresh ozone rolled across the lawn.

The Don’s Dangerous Addiction

The Don’s Dangerous Addiction

In the afternoon, the outskirts of the city, Oak Valley Farm. On the fringes of Obsidian City in March, the winter snows had barely begun to melt. A soft wave of pale green grass unfurled across the landscape. The air was no longer heavy with the cloying sweetness of overripe fruit; instead, it carried the crisp, raw scent of freshly turned earth mingled with the delicate fragrance of wild weeds breaking through the soil.

LOVE ME LIKE A CURSE

LOVE ME LIKE A CURSE

Setting: The Bone Orchard --- The field stretched endlessly under a starless sky, its earth cracked and pale as old scars. White trees clawed upward in jagged silhouettes, their bark not wood but bone—calcified remnants of the First Brood who defied Vaelros Seraxa. Each tree leaned as if in pain, branches frozen mid-scream, their roots burrowed deep into the soil where ancient blood still seeped. No Elder dared walk here, for the Orchard remembered betrayal. It remembered the Crown That Bleeds.
