She practically squealed when she saw those damn puppies. Osiris drove me through his pack, showing me the whole area. I had only been to April’s house, the packhouse and the pool. But this pack was much larger than I thought. He even had fucking farmer living on his land. I had no idea this pack was so self-sustaining. Osiris stopped his car and got out. We were close to the area where those farms were. There was nothing much here, just a big area that looked ready to be built on.

“Grains, vegetables, fruit, tea, and stuff… Everything you are familiar with can’t be planted here.” Talia thought that Kayson was bluffing, as they already knew that nothing thrived there anyway! How was his statement different from the experts’ judgment? “Then what do you think should be planted here?” Violet asked curiously. “Tonic herbs.” The girls looked astounded. They had obviously not heard of something like this before. Kayson smiled. “For example, a reishi mushroom that’s more than 400 years in age can be called a tonic herb.” The girls understood then, and Violet exclaimed, “I think I’ve heard of someone spending $45,000,000 to bid on a reishi mushroom over 500 years in age.”

The moss felt like wet silk under Fiona’s feet, but she wasn’t thinking about the texture. She was thinking about how much she hated these woods and how much she hated herself for getting lost. Then, the world simply broke. One moment she was staring at the ruins of a cluster of glowing mushrooms she’d crushed in a fit of pique; the next, the air turned into something thick and sour. It looked like a bejeweled egg. It confused her a little since she taught it was supposed to be a dragon egg and why would a dragon egg have jewels on it. As she looked closer she realized that the jewels weren’t made into the shell, the were placed on it.

But what really excited him was the large, magical oasis beyond the cave. For years, he had heard about this magical oasis in many books of the Rose Women. In fact, at one time, his greatest goal had been to seize this oasis. He stepped toward it running and plunged his hands into the oasis. As the healing oasis water circulated on his skin, a devilish smile formed on his face. "The time has come..." he grumbled.

There was something like branches, but it was wider, and when they went past it, she just realized that those were big sized mushrooms. These mushrooms were creamy white in color, like oyster mushrooms, but their size was so wide that some were actually wide enough to act as bridge between trees. The lighting here wasn't that much different from below the mushroom canopy, but it was surely a bit brighter. Upon passing the wide mushroom, there was a group of people there, also four fairies with different colors. They were sitting and resting near the bark.
