Tie asked lightly.
“Always,” Papa said dryly, his tone grave. “They are cooking.”
Tie’s eyebrows rose at the grimness in Papa’s voice. “I survived captivity, a magical coma, and your daughter invading my dream world,” Tie said, his tone dry. “I think I can survive breakfast.”
Papa looked down at Gwen, then Christina, as if weighing the strategic consequences of releasing his newest heirs into another male’s arms. Tie held out both hands with the calm confidence of a man who had already been accepted into the family and still knew better than to test Papa too much.
