Panic Room
I reached my bloodied hand out to touch him, but he moved out of the way, causing my hand to drop onto my lap instead.
"You aren't a monster," I whispered, my voice not entirely my own. He let out a dark chuckle moving towards me.
"Oh, but that's where you're wrong, my little pet. I'm the worst kind of monster there is." I gasped as his hand slammed into my chest, a scream tearing through my throat.
It was like a spell had been broken. Fear poured through my veins. I wanted to run away, hide, but I couldn't, and as he ripped my heart from my chest, I was left with one last thought before everything went dark.
