BOUND BY THE VEIN

BOUND BY THE VEIN

” He sighed. The rest of the morning crawled. He avoided the fifth floor completely—refused to run linens up, refused to answer any call that mentioned suite 512. Every time he turned a corner he checked behind him. Every shadow in the hallway felt like mist curling at his ankles. Every time his thoughts drifted back to crimson eyes and blood-smeared lips, a fresh wave of paranoia hit: ‘Can he read my mind? Is he watching right now? Is that prickle on my neck him?’ By the time his relief arrived at 8 a.m., he was vibrating.

The Lycan’s Fated Mate

The Lycan’s Fated Mate

Sharp as a blade piercing through her chest. Susan gasped and brought her hands to her heart, leaning slightly forward as if something inside her had been violently pulled. The tea she was holding spilled onto the carpet, spreading the hot, dark liquid. “S-Susan?!” Jenn ran to her, alarmed. “No… Don’t touch me!” Susan whispered, her pupils dilated, her eyes glassy and fixed on some invisible point. “He… He…” Her soul trembled. The bond… twisted, like a rope being wrung until it nearly snapped. A strange weight, as if a mirror had cracked inside her, scattering fragments of doubt, confusion, and despair.

Realm of Power: Werewolf vs Vampire

Realm of Power: Werewolf vs Vampire

The floor met my fall without give. Walls that moved with a slow breath - this was just another Tuesday at Paranormal High. Above, something dark and thin snaked across the ceiling, drifting without hurry. Almost ordinary, if you ignored how the air pulsed between lockers. Quiet whispers rode on drafts no fan could explain. Nothing stood still long enough to feel safe. Shadows stretched too far near the science wing. A flicker here, a hum there - the building never slept, only watched. Kids walked fast, eyes forward. Hall passes didn’t help when doors vanished behind you. Normal? Not even close. Just school shaped wrong.

I had no idea when I would be let out. All I could hear was the rustling sounds from the rats, cockroaches, and other bugs that scurried around. It was so horrible that I cried hysterically until I fell asleep from exhaustion. The next time I woke up, I sensed the rats nibbling at my ears. I learned not to fall asleep, or the rats would chew my ears off. Somewhere between sleep and wakefulness, I heard it—the grating sound of metal against metal. Suddenly, light flooded into my eyes. My eyelids glowed red, every vein illuminated. For a moment, I thought I was dreaming. Light wasn't supposed to exist here.

Nightmare

Nightmare

To find Natalie or Ash or just anyone, anyone that could give me some information about what was going on. Debris started falling from the sky so I ran, every instinct was telling me to run north, but for some reason all I could do was run towards the south. I must have run for hours and it was when I was rounding just an ordinary red brick one-story house that I notice something strange. Cooper was lying on the ground, and looked as though he was having a fit, but something stood in front of him, something slightly blurring, as though half in this world and another. Cooper continued wriggling and writhing on the ground as if some demonic being was trying to take control of his body. That’s

My Supernatural Gift

"Her salary isn't even eight grand a month, yet she can casually throw out a million dollars in hush money. Where did the money come from?" I wiped down the autopsy table while bloody water flowed into the drain. Summer lowered her voice. "The department has always suspected she takes private jobs. "There have been several wealthy people in the city who died under suspicious circumstances. The cases were wrapped up too cleanly, too. "Some people say she's a professional cleaner. She helps powerful people deal with problems and turns them into accidents or suicides. "But she's never left any evidence behind." "Then go investigate. "Keep an eye on Emma. Something's definitely going to happen t

Suppressed Memories

***** Morgan The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the kitchen light on. The next thing was Harper looking like she had seen a ghost as she was staring at her phone, barely standing. I didn’t want to scare her, but my light tap on the shoulder made her scream. Sam and two more guys ran in, trying to search for any dangers. “Leave us,” the last thing I wanted was to scare her more. “Nigel. Where is Nigel? I need to call Nigel.” she sniffed.

Blue Moon Bed & Breakfast

His eyes flicked around like he was looking for some sort of evidence of a response to his words. Hailey went to the window and closed it firmly. “That’s enough from you today. You are quite enough. I want Eddie here. If you make him leave, I’ll leave with him, and where will you be there? Hm?” “Hailey, we can’t keep this up. We need to find out what this thing’s attached to and have it dealt with. The paranormal team is still at the inn. I can talk to them and get them to come here and help us figure out how to deal with it. I know you don’t want them messing with your dolls or any spirits there. But this one seems different from those. This one is so much darker and it’s getting worse, not

Hello, so I just finish the 1st chapter, honestly, I think you introduced too many characters in the first chapter, why don't you focus on the MC and the husband and wife first. You can introduce the other staffs later when they play a role in the chapter. Good luck!

I love the way you tell us about all the different people that are going to be in the book. I like how each chapter is about one set of characters and how they are part of the whole tapestry of the story. Love that there's a Boggart in your book, they really are very mischievous but don't mean harm.
