Zach turned white on seeing the picture Cora placed in front of him. For some seconds, he just stares at the face of the girl that looks so much like Samantha they could pass for twins. If not for Cora and her father that were standing behind the girl in the picture, he would have thought Cora somehow stole one of Samantha's pictures so she could play some stupid pranks on him.

Jai asked solemnly. Cain laid the file folders back down on the table. "It means our job just got harder." The door led into a long, dim corridor that was littered with large oil paintings which hung from either side of the walls. Most of the painting depicted pale faces in black collars. Faces I had no idea of. Jhan took me through a door on the left. We entered into a small office. The first thing I noticed about the room was the chandelier that hung very low, almost at mid distance from room to floor. The office smelt of old books and dust, though it was spotlessly clean, and, seated behind a wooden desk was, surprisingly, an old pale vampire.
