Once Discarded, I Married His Dearest Daddy

Once Discarded, I Married His Dearest Daddy

The old pain had dulled into something sharper—fuel. The charity gala at the Hôtel de Paris was a glittering affair, the kind Marcus had once craved but never quite reached without his father’s shadow. Crystal chandeliers dripped light over Monaco’s elite. Diane moved through the crowd at Damien’s side, tablet in hand, murmuring updates in his ear. She no longer shrank from eyes on her. She met them. Halfway through the evening, as a string quartet played and champagne flowed, Damien’s phone vibrated. He glanced at it, then handed it to Diane without comment. Red: Claimed by the Keeper in the Tower

Red: Claimed by the Keeper in the Tower

RED The café on Rue de la Victoire smelled of burnt coffee and damp wool. Outside, rain slicked the cobblestones into mirrors that reflected the gray Parisian sky. Rosemary Jensen wrapped her hands around her cup, the porcelain warm against her chilled skin. Three tables away, a woman in a navy trench coat raised her newspaper slightly, their agreed-upon signal. Rosemary stood, leaving half a franc on the table, and walked toward the exit. The woman followed thirty seconds later, her heels clicking against the pavement. They turned left onto Rue Duphot, then right into a narrow alley that smelled of stale cigarettes and urine.

Just for two weeks

Just for two weeks

"Grande Galerie! Toilettes Messieurs!" Romano wheeled to Suslowicz. "Where is Jim?" "Still in the men's room!" Suslowicz pointed to the blinking red dot on his laptop schematic. "He must have broken the window!" Suslowicz knew Jim wouldn't get far. Although Paris fire code required windows above fifteen meters in public buildings be breakable in case of fire, exiting a Louvre second-story window without the help of a hook and ladder would be suicide. Furthermore, there were no trees or grass on the western end of the Denon Wing to cushion a fall. Directly beneath the restroom, the two-lane Place du Carrousel ran within a few feet of the outer wall. "My God," Suslowicz exclaimed, eyeing the s

Wild Desire

Wild Desire

Clare stood in the door frame and gasped in surprise. A shaft of yellow-red light cut right across the bare wooden floor like a direct path to the centre of the sun. On their journey up in the lift, Clare had grown accustomed to the darkness and assumed that Jean’s room would be equally shady, but here on the seventh floor they were a storey above most of the surrounding buildings and Jean’s beautiful large window looked directly west. Clare ran to the window and strained her eyes against the evening glow to pick out landmarks. The whole of Paris was spread before her again, only this time it seemed that it was just for Clare and not for a thousand other tourists jostling her at a rail at th

How Our Paths Crossed

How Our Paths Crossed

Dahlia's POV It's been a week since we returned from Paris and all I've been doing is focus on the project we have with Mr. Laurel. We'll be required to travel frequently to France to set up the website and mobile application and other details for the stores. Dai has been in my hair with his sweet apologies but I can't stand down just because the man is being a romantic. I admit I was surprised he could be this romantic and could actually keep his big ego in his pants and apologize to me.

Hidden Heiress Rising: Married to my Ex-Husband’s Uncle

Hidden Heiress Rising: Married to my Ex-Husband’s Uncle

We took our seats, and my father opened his arms wide. "Eva, my daughter. Come, let me look at you." He turned to Damien. "And you, son. How are you feeling? We were very worried when we heard about the accident." What a pretentious man. "Much better, thank you," Damien replied just as fakely as him. "Terrible times," my father continued, shaking his head. "Paris is not what it used to be. The streets are becoming unsafe." "Yes," Damien said. "The streets are unsafe."

Guardians of the Stones. Earth-Air

Guardians of the Stones. Earth-Air

Marat‘s was only two blocks away, so he would be there in fifteen minutes even walking slowly. Just as he turned the corner, a police car pulled up on the other side of the street in front of his house. Darren double-checked that the address was correct and stood outside with the team. He sincerely hoped that this mess would be over soon, that the ring would be retrieved and he could return to Paris later that night. As Darren crossed the street, the tyres of a car braking in haste screeched loudly, and a man with a cigarette in his mouth cursed Darren with all sorts of words, while sticking his head out of the window. “Not a street, but a circus. In France, this fool would have had his driv

You can recognize good book from few pages. Paul White created amazing story with a soft touch of his own soul. The book is real deal! You can't stop reading it. Waiting for the second chapter, which I believe could bring even more action, love and adventures.

Flash Marriage To The Billionaire CEO

Flash Marriage To The Billionaire CEO

“The world’s watching.” She shot him a side glance, lips twitching. “You enjoy this too much.” He smirked. “I enjoy watching you own it.” --- That evening, they checked into the Hôtel de Crillon, one of the most luxurious hotels overlooking Place de la Concorde. Elena stood by the balcony, taking in the city lights below. Paris sparkled in gold and silver hues—the Eiffel Tower shimmering in the distance like a crown. “This feels like a dream,” she whispered.

The Dancer and the Mafia's Chef

The Dancer and the Mafia's Chef

Declan had argued that going to Paris under the Tour Eiffel was the best place to reconcile. However, Milo and Shay had vehemently - repeatedly - said that no, it was not a good idea. The only reason Declan had ceded was because Milo eventually admitted that Amara hated trains, especially trips that took over an hour. They had all agreed on Parc de la Tête d'Or and its cafe on the back left corner. An open-air cafe. Amara was already stewing over a hardly-touched drink of some kind, deliberately keeping her eyes down and unaware of much else around her. Despite the somehow-perfect temperature, the slight evening breeze, the beautiful park. She glanced at her phone now and then, but that was

My Billionaire Ex Desperate To Win Me Back

My Billionaire Ex Desperate To Win Me Back

"I'm afraid I can’t disclose that information." Darvan frowned and shot him a glare before rubbing his forehead in frustration. He wasn’t going to wait. Turning back, he got into his car and pulled out his phone. Scrolling through the news, his eyes landed on a headline— A grand party at the heart of Paris...'Champs-Élysées' Would Martinez and Cassia be there? he wondered. His eyes flicked down to his clothes. They weren’t that bad. Good enough. Without wasting another second, he ignited the engine and sped toward the venue.

Yeah he is hee boyfriend and all but Cassia should have known from the moment the dude didn't invite her for his birthday party that it was a huge red flag. She shouldn't have bothered coming, it would have at least saved her the embarrassment.
