PRESENT PIERRE PARIS, FRANCE The morning light pierces through the smoked glass of my office with surgical precision, but my eyes remain fixed on that damn quadrant of the monitor. Already dressed in an impeccable Tom Ford suit, the knot of my tie tightens like a reminder of the restraint I should maintain.

Cassian and Emeraude strolled through the narrow streets of Paris, their hands intertwined and their hearts filled with love and admiration. The summer sun painted the city in golden hues, reflecting off the ancient facades of buildings and the calm waters of the Seine. Paris seemed to have been created especially for them in that moment, a perfect backdrop for their honeymoon.

"In a room full of other masterpieces." I roll my eyes as he pulls me close for a hug. And then he kisses me. Gently. Softly. I push him away. "Come on!" I say. "We still have a lot to see." I can't believe I ever said Paris is overrated. Shame on me. It's the land of the greatest monuments and masterpieces. People from all over the world come to witness the greatness of Art in this city. I wish Lana was here with me. This trip would've blown her mind. The same way it has blown mine.
