I grab a glass and pour myself a whiskey. "Fuck you! I won't drink because of you!" I shout and throw the glass, breaking it on the door she just left through. "Fuck you..."

All through the drive that lasted for about forty minutes, Gloria didn’t say a word, and I wasn’t bothered because I was filled with thoughts of my own. “No,” I admitted. “What’s wrong?” She asked. I didn’t even think that she would notice how I had shuddered the moment she parked the car. “This just reminds me of the mental home,” I said. “I know it is different walls, but it is the same prison,” I added. “You will be fine,” Gloria said plainly. Her voice wasn’t laced with emotions and she wasn’t about to spend minutes trying to make me feel better, and I couldn’t blame her because I knew that she wasn’t that kind of woman.

Then, he slipped two of his fingers in between the blinds and allowed just the right amount of light to pass through.

She ordered and not a sound was heard. I handed the empty glass to the maid and kept holding the other for me to drink after I finished. Then, I imagined my best friend here to me, after all, we have to put emotion into this song. So, I began, losing myself in my own mind, until four minutes had passed and the song ended. My throat felt suddenly sore when I finished, and I drank the glass of the water that was left, then handed it also to the maid, which disappeared right after that.

I felt the beat rattle through my bones and all I wanted was to live in the moment. He swirled with the glass of wine as he sang to me. I gasped. “ I wanna stay up all day and all night,” he mouthed to me as he held out the glass for me. I held my mouth as I took the glass in my hands, the music was tempting that I found myself shaking my body faintly to the rhythm of the music. “ You give me the shivers,” the song went on and he held my hand, pulled me closer to him as I worried for the glass of wine in my hands.
