Glass Sword Novels & Stories

Sekora asked. “You will be able to recognize them by the symbols on the hilt, first there is the Tsunami sword recognizable by the wave, next is the Earth breaker sword represented by broken earth, next is the Shadow sword represented by a ghost, next is the Sun saber represented by a sun, next is the Phoenix Wing sword recognized by wings, next is the Speed sword represented by a rabbit and finally there is the Power sword represented by a bull.” D2 replied going back to the lighter tone of voice.

They also seem to prefer to go there rather than the long route. Elijah made the horse run towards the left path and as soon as the horse stepped on it, I immediately saw the rain of spears. Elijah moved quickly and I saw that a mirror appeared. It was huge and stood in front of us all. All the spears turn to ash every time they hit that glassy thing that Elijah made. We are running fast and the spears are still flying but none of them can reach us because it turns to ash before it even passes through the glass.

The cube wanted out. Bullets stopped. Silence fell, thick and unnatural. Then footsteps echoed. The woman stepped into the half-light, flanked by two operatives in matte-black armor. Her eyes glowed faintly, not with tech but something older, colder. She smiled at Mara like greeting an old friend. “You’ve seen it, haven’t you?” the woman said softly. “The fractures. The truth between the glass. That’s the shadow reaching for you.” Mara’s chest heaved. “What do you want from me?”

Jack looked up through the glass skylight of the atrium. Descending slowly through the storm, ignoring the wind, was a monstrosity. It was twice the size of the others, carved from black obsidian—volcanic glass. Its wingspan was thirty feet wide. And its body was covered in glowing purple sigils that drank the energy of the Aegis cannons. "Obsidian," Jack cursed. "Volcanic glass doesn't have a crystalline grain structure like granite. The resonance won't shatter it." "It's diving!" Marcus yelled.

I smirked as I used my free hand to turn the water on. “But… the windows. People can see in.” Her eyes watched the three windows that looked out over the driveway and front of the villa. “No one can look in. One-way glass. We can look out, but no one can see in.” I assured her, pressing her naked body against the glass.

Brielle swallows hard beside me, and I squeeze her hand just as Jack walks back in with a huge smile on his face. “I think we just got lucky,” he tells us. “My buddy just told me that entire wall was constructed using riot glass.” “Riot glass?” Brielle asks. “What does that mean? Like hurricane glass?” “No, riot glass is even better,” I say. “Hurricane glass is only rated for high winds. Riot glass is designed specifically to withstand objects hitting it – even something traveling at a high rate of speed.” “Like bullets?” “Yep. The glass will spiderweb, but not shatter.”

Virelle leaned closer to the window. Gold had always been faint in them, subtle enough to look almost brown in normal light. But now, under the fractured moon, they were brighter. Not fully gold, it was threaded with silver. Her stomach dropped. “No,” she whispered. She lifted her hand and touched the glass. The girl in the reflection did the same. But the eyes looking back at her did not belong to the person she had been yesterday. And deep beneath the academy, beyond stone and oath and blood, something seemed to stir in answer.

She looked more closely at the cross now. The indigo blue glass was cut on one side, on the other side it had a smooth surface. The cut ran to a point in the middle of the four arms of the cross and broke the light in various rainbow tones. The little spots of color danced on her skin to the rhythm of the speeding car. Although it had neither a hole nor an eyelet, it looked as if it belonged to a piece of jewelry and Aurelia figured out that it might have come off an employee's necklace.

Two tall glasses stood sentry, both half full with sparkling clear liquid. Rushing over, I gulped down the first glass. Thankful it was water and not vodka. Blood loss and alcohol were not really a good combination. Using the second glass, I cleared my eyelashes. Winced at the bruised flesh that still impacted my vision slightly. Both glasses now empty, I grabbed the half-eaten sandwich off one plate, an apple from the other. Shoved the first in my mouth and the second in my armpit. I needed to keep at least one hand free to wield the short sword.

"I thought you might like having lunch here. Bella is not joining us because she has things to do, but we will be fine." Alice nodded, then I took off my gloves, followed by my apron, and went to wash my hands. When I returned, Enya had already seated Alice at the glass table that was made of the same material as the statue of the Goddess. "I'm scared to eat here," Alice said in surprise as she meticulously examined the glass. "I feel that it can break easily." "Believe it or not, that glass is much more resistant than any other metal in the world. It is blessed by the Goddess and was one of the many gifts she has given us over the centuries for following her faith as she professes," I expla
