He glanced at the screen and went deathly still. “What is it?” I asked. His voice came out low. Dangerous. “They’ve found Subject Zero.” My stomach dropped. “Subject Zero?” Alex met my gaze. “The woman who came back before you.” The lights flickered. Somewhere in the building, alarms began to scream. And deep in my bones, I knew My rebirth was never meant to be the beginning. It was meant to be a trigger.

Lira’s voice on comms: “Sera, the ship’s sealing itself! She’s inside the grid!” Zero’s eyes flicked upward. Then glowed. "I'm beginning to think this place hates us." Then suddenly, The steel door began to open. Slowly. CREEEEAK. Nobody moved. Nobody blinked. A figure stepped through. Dark hair. Dark eyes. Black clothes. Hands in his pockets. Just like on the security cameras. Ethan. Subject Zero. The original subject. Silence filled the tunnel. Because somehow... He looked completely normal. Not like a monster. Not like a dangerous experiment. Just a man. A man who looked exhausted. Very exhausted. Then he saw the little girl.

He groaned and Audrey’s eyes widen. “Guys, he is not moving.” “That is because he is paralyzed, don't worry there is nothing wrong with him.” Chloe said and she felt pity for the man. “Oh my God, I am so sorry.” Audrey apologized. “What?
