My eyes were fixated on Lloyd Zwick, but Paul grabbed my arm before I could take another step.
“We should call this in,” he said.
I wiggled out of his hold, but he kept an unflappable grip on me. “He could still be alive,” I said, my voice shaking.
“He’s dead, Rory.” Paul drew out his phone, used its torch to provide additional light to the room.
I gasped at the sight that bombarded us. On Zwick’s forehead was a carving of the six-pointed star, and his chest had a huge hole, just right on where his heart should be.
