"What did you do with the professor, sweet boy? Did you eat him, huh?" He answered me, nuzzling me in the chest harder, pushing me backward. "Easy boy." Grrr! The panther reared back and swatted the air. The growling grew louder. I used this moment to maneuver to my feet. He craned his head up to howl, and the sound echoed around us. Was he in pain? "Oh, what's the matter, boy?" I sidestep closer, holding my hand out. The panther collapsed to the floor in a heap and rolled back and forth. The howling became guttural and strained, shrinking before my eyes.

His pants and boxers joined the growing pile of discarded clothing on the floor. For a moment, we stood there, drinking each other in or unsure if we should take this route. My heart began beating so hard, I wouldn't have been surprised if he was able to hear it. His hands reached my body, relearning every curve. "Wait," I gasped, pulling back. "Protection?" He groaned, forehead resting against mine. "Right. Yes. Of course." He set me down gently, fumbling with his wallet. I watched, heart racing, as he pulled out a small foil packet.

*Jaedon’s POV* “You’re saying war?” My best friend and Beta, Peter Normandy raised his eyebrows at me. Peter and I had met when we were children. Our pack, Snow Creek, had taken over his own pack Everforest. Now, the remaining joined us and pledged their loyalty. It hasn’t been a terrible thing for them though. We didn’t have to kill anyone. Their Alpha had been sick and the sickness was spreading. He asked us to take over the healthy of their pack so it wouldn’t have to die off. Our Alpha at the time obliged.
