71. Saved Third Person's POV A piercing gunshot echoed through the air, making Wynter and Shadrach scream in fear. Wynter instinctively shut her eyes, bracing for the searing pain she was certain would come, expecting her soul to quit her body at any moment. But the impact never came. Confused, she slowly opened her eyes, her heart pounding. Another scream—this one agonizing—rang out, followed by a second gunshot. Her mind raced. Was the danger closing in on her and Shadrach?
