She asked Lorenzo mentally face palmed, "No-umm-I mean, I have a blindfold-" Bonnie giggled, "So you want to go downstairs and watch TV with me, a blind girl while wearing a blindfold?" Lorenzo cleared his throat, "Yes." He firmly said, raising his chin up. Bonnie only shrugged, "Alright." They went downstairs and sat on the huge leather couch. Lorenzo switched on the TV and handed the blindfold to Bonnie. "Care to help?" She smiled and took the blindfold from him. Bonnie put the blindfold over his eyes and he turned around making it easier for Bonnie to tie it.

Lower management handled the menial business. Rai Landon was not part of his corporate team, or she would have a suite on deck fifteen, not five. She was merely a passenger wanting to experience Alaska. Just how much a blind person could enjoy the sights alone was yet to be determined. Damn her friend for bailing on her. The Hybrids learned not to listen. By nightfall, they reached the foothills of the Peaks. The air there was colder and thinner, carrying the scent of metal and rain. The sky had darkened to deep violet, and the stars above twisted like reflections in water. “This place bends reality,” Sybil murmured. “The Peaks feed on memory.
