Athena’s POV “So why Athena and Zeus?” Terry asks as we eat ice cream walking around downtown Seattle. “My parents have a thing about Greek Mythology. I mean, they are named Hades and Persephone. I guess naming me after the goddess of war and my twin after the king of the gods was their way of reminding everyone and us just who we are,” I lean into him, and he actually puts an arm around my shoulders. “And who is that exactly?” He teases, whispering in my ear.

When Ryder was done with him, he was nothing but a weak human.” My mother’s face paled. “Is this true, Ryder?” My father asked, and I nodded. “It was instinct, like I knew how to do that my entire life.”

“The Titan God Perses is the Goddess Hecate’s father?” “Yeah. So he recommended putting the Guardians in place. Five total, one for the leader of each faction. Mother agreed as long as they were mates for the rest of their life journeys. So that was Perses gift to Mother and as a gift to his only daughter, he put a drop of his own essence into the Guardian for the Mavri Magea. It made the Guardian strong enough to not be able to be destroyed by the youngest goddess.”
