Peridot! That’s a green gemstone. Fishermen believe it brings good luck. I remember finding one, years ago.”
His words quickened my heartbeat. “You did?”
He smiled nostalgically. “I gave it to your aunt. As a token of my gratitude for letting me live on this property. She was quite fond of it.”
