Amara’s PoV The city shrank beneath us until the streets became thin silver lines and the people disappeared completely. My wrists burned against the zip ties digging into my skin. No one spoke. The men surrounding me sat perfectly still, rifles resting across their laps. Only Adrian Volkov seemed at ease.
