Running from danger only made me want him more.

After Lena’s slip up I knew we could not sit still any longer. John picked me up early the next morning and we drove to a quiet coffee shop on the edge of the city to start digging into the stalker ourselves.

“We cannot trust anyone right now,” John said as we sat in a back booth. “Not even my own team. I pulled some old contacts and found out the black car from the other night is registered to a shell company linked to Kane.”

I leaned closer across the table. “So what is our next move Daddy? We cannot just wait for him to come after us again.”

John looked around then lowered his voice. “We follow the money. I have an old warehouse address where some of Kane’s people have been spotted. We go check it out but we stay careful. You stay in the car until I say it is clear.”

“No way,” I replied firmly. “We are in this together. I am not sitting on the sidelines while you risk everything.”

He stared at me for a long moment then nodded. “Fine. But you do exactly what I say.”

We drove across town in one of his less flashy cars trying to blend in. My heart raced the whole way. As we approached the old industrial area John’s phone started buzzing with alerts from his security app.

“Someone is following us,” he said checking the rearview mirror. “Hold on.”

A black SUV suddenly appeared behind us and sped up. John hit the gas and the chase was on. We tore through narrow city streets weaving between traffic as the SUV tried to run us off the road.

“John they are getting closer!” I shouted gripping the seat.

“I see them,” he growled swerving hard around a corner. “Call this number. Tell them we need backup now.”

I dialed the number he gave me while bullets pinged off the back of our car. The sound made my stomach drop. “They are shooting at us!”

John took a sharp turn down an alley and lost them for a moment. “We are almost at the safe house. Just a little further baby.”

We finally skidded into an underground parking garage attached to a nondescript building. John pulled me out of the car and we ran to the elevator. Once inside the secure apartment on the tenth floor he locked everything down and checked the windows.

“We are safe for now,” he said breathing hard. “Come here.”

I practically threw myself at him. The adrenaline from the chase mixed with fear turned into pure need. “I was so scared Daddy. I thought we were going to die out there.”

John kissed me desperately pushing me against the wall. “I will not let anything happen to you Liana.”

Our clothes came off fast. He lifted me up and I wrapped my legs around him as he carried me to the bedroom. He laid me on the bed and climbed over me his body hard and urgent.

“I need you,” I whispered pulling him down. “Fuck me Daddy. Make me feel alive.”

He spread my legs and thrust into me in one deep stroke. I cried out digging my nails into his back as he filled my pussy completely. There was nothing gentle about it. He fucked me hard and fast like the chase had unlocked something wild in both of us.

“God you feel so good,” he groaned pounding into me. “This tight little pussy is the only thing keeping me sane right now.”

“Harder Daddy,” I moaned wrapping my legs tighter around him. “I want to feel every inch. Don’t hold back.”

John drove deeper his hips slamming against me. The bed creaked under us as he took me with raw desperation. I came first screaming his name as my pussy clenched around his thick cock. He followed right after burying himself deep and filling me with hot cum.

We lay tangled together afterward trying to catch our breath.

“I love how you feel inside me,” I whispered tracing my fingers over his chest. “Even when the whole world is trying to kill us.”

Before John could reply there was a knock at the door. He tensed and grabbed a gun from the nightstand. “Stay here.”

He checked the camera then relaxed slightly and opened the door. A tall man in his late forties with salt and pepper hair stepped inside.

“Marcus,” John said carefully. “What are you doing here?”

The man looked straight at me. “Liana. Your mother sent me. I have information about Victor Kane and your family’s connection to all this.”

I sat up pulling the sheet around me. “My family? What are you talking about?”

Marcus glanced between us. “I worked with your mother years ago when she was involved with Kane’s operations. There are things she never told you. Things that make you part of this whether you like it or not.”

John stepped protectively in front of me. “We will talk about this later. Right now we need to focus on staying alive.”

Marcus nodded but his eyes lingered on me a little too long. “Be careful who you trust. Kane has eyes everywhere.”

After Marcus left to wait in the other room my phone rang. It was Mia.

“Hey where are you?” she asked sounding frustrated. “I went by your apartment and you were not there. And Dad has been acting super weird too. Are you hiding something from me Liana?”

My stomach twisted. “No Mia everything is fine. I just needed some space after all the drama with that car accident the other night.”

“Space?” she pressed. “With my dad? Because I saw you two leaving together this morning. What is really going on between you and my father? Tell me the truth.”

I swallowed hard and forced my voice to stay steady. “Nothing is going on Mia. Your dad is just helping me with some stuff about my mom. That is all. I promise.”

She was quiet for a long moment. “You are lying to me. I can hear it in your voice. If you are sleeping with my dad Liana I swear to God…”

“I am not,” I said quickly my heart pounding. “I would never do that to you. You are my best friend.”

Mia sighed. “Okay. But if I find out you are lying our friendship is over. Do you understand?”

“I understand,” I whispered feeling sick as I hung up.

John came back into the room and saw my face. “What happened?”

“I just lied to my best friend’s face,” I said quietly. “Again.”

Before he could comfort me his phone buzzed with a new message. He opened the package notification and his expression turned deadly.

“What is it?” I asked.

John held up his phone. On the screen was a photo of a small box delivered to his office. Inside was a piece of my favorite red lace underwear the pair I had been wearing the night we first had sex on the yacht. A note was attached.

“Next time it will not be just her panties in the box.”

The enemy was not just closing in anymore. They were already inside our lives tearing everything apart piece by piece.

  • Forbidden Obsession    First Steps

Some meetings in broad daylight carry more danger than those hidden in the dark. Hope insisted on meeting the contact alone in the public park despite everything we said. John and I waited on a bench nearby trying to look casual while keeping her in sight. She sat on a bench under a big tree talking to a young man who looked nervous. I held John’s hand tightly.
