I woke up startled when something hard bumped in my belly. I pressed my hand against my stomach and rubbed it. It didn’t hurt, it felt uncomfortable, and I’d never felt anything like that before. I sat still on the bed waiting for another nudge. When nothing happened I stood up and walked to the bathroom. I must be hungry again.

His gaze flickered down to my stomach, his brows furrowing slightly. “How bad is it?” he asked, his voice lower now. I hesitated before pressing a hand against my abdomen, feeling the discomfort intensify. “It’s been getting worse,” I admitted. “I don’t know if it’s stress or something else, but… it’s not normal.”

I’m home. No. Not home. I’m back in the Merrick pack. Even though I’m in no hurry to move, the jute rug is making me itch like crazy, so I roll onto my back to scratch at my belly. Noah said. He leaned back on the sofa, stretching his arm along the backrest. He looked at her with a lazy, contented affection. "You look a little green," Noah noted. "Did the sushi last night disagree with you?" Aria put a hand to her stomach. She did feel nauseous. A low, rolling queasiness that had been lingering for a week. "Maybe," she said. "Or maybe it's just... the quiet. My body doesn't know how to relax. It's waiting for a crisis."

I spill all my contents into the toilet as I kneel down . After a few minutes if silence.

I felt like a walking target. A sudden wave of nausea hit me so intense it made my vision blur and I stumbled, pressing a hand against a cold brick wall to steady myself while my stomach did a violent flip. I hadn't been feeling well for days.. I was constantly exhausted, my breasts ached and my stomach felt like it was tied in permanent knots.

It should be reassuring. But something about it unsettles me. Because no matter how much I try to focus on what’s happening, my body feels wrong. It started last night. At first, I thought it was exhaustion, or stress, or maybe even the lingering effects of smoke inhalation from the fire. But now, with hours between me and the wreckage, I know it’s something else. My stomach twists, a dull nausea that won’t go away. My skin feels too hot one second, too cold the next. I press a hand to my ribs, shifting uncomfortably in my chair.
