cursed

cursed

She was gonna go after all of them even their families and pull out their ball sockets from each of them. She died with that hatred and disgust in her chest, and as life could have it, when she died and cross over to the path she was sent back saying it was not yet her time and besides she was cursed. All those words were like a joke to her but funny was that she woke up in that same nobody of hers. She was confused at first and was also afraid. She met people crossing over in that paths at Afterlife but it was rather not for her, and also that man in white told her that it was not yet her time and she was cursed, what does that mean? The thought came pouring down her head.

The Pack's Triquetra

The Pack's Triquetra

It just… didn’t fit together. “During the Middle Ages,” Talen murmured quietly. “When the Black Plague struck, they would lock entire neighbourhoods into the streets and houses. Those within would live, or die, until the doors were again unlocked. Usually, they would die, often of starvation if not from the disease or being shut in with the festering corpses of their loved ones. The doors would be painted with red crosses when they were nailed shut, to signify that beyond was infected.” “Yeah,” Aislen said with a grimace. “A few too many similarities there for my liking.”

Fantastic follow up to the first book. I keep going back to the first one to reread the corresponding chapters. It’s so good to see all the perspectives. I cannot wait to see what happens next. Such a clever way to present a story. I’m hooked. I’ll read anything this author puts out at this point.

without his father was pitiful. Besides, Dominic was also quite curious about how severe the plague was. Recently, the news said that it was spreading like wildfire. Regardless of what one did, one would inadvertently get infected. After years of studying medicinal herbs, Dominic could not help being curious about this epidemic. Lily pondered for a moment and turned to look at the pigeon hut before hesitantly saying, "Okay…sure!"

How many chapters will this book have I have already spent $40.00 and that could have bought a whole novel. The book is good but it doesn’t need to carry on forever!!! What is the last chapter? I wouldn’t have started reading it had I known it wasn’t complete. This disappoints me greatly!!!

I would like to give my opinion on when his eyes open…… the book is great to read, but I feel like I pay to read that’s okay, but now it’s like the chapters is getting shorter, I don’t want to start on another story when I did not finish the first one. Please let me finish reading this book.

Call of Night

Call of Night

“Can’t they come here and treat her? I’ll close the door.” “No. Tabatha told me that Evander has been researching this demon since we first ran into it a few nights ago. He has a lead, but if it’s true…” He sits on the edge of the bed, looking down at me with glossy eyes. “If it’s true, we don’t have much time.” “What is it, Lucas?” Eliza snaps, unable to hide the fear in her voice. Lucas tears his eyes away from mine, looking pained. “Pestilence.”

DEFYING FATE

DEFYING FATE

They followed a trail above the hills where the human settlement was clear in their views. Looking down at the crowded conditions of the village, Sage narrated how famine and plague were rampant in this era. The crowded village was filthy, and the unkempt surroundings allowed the deadly disease to spread easily. People who wanted to enter the village during the plague were forced to remain outside the gates for several days until it was clear that they had no symptoms of the infection. This predicament depicts the horror of the plague. The living can barely cope with the demands of caring for the sick and burying the dead; it was mayhem. Death was everywhere.

The pocket

The pocket

The strength of their bonds would ultimately determine their survival, their future, their destiny. The fragile peace established with Lyra’s community was shattered with the chilling arrival of a new threat. It wasn't a monstrous creature lurking in the shadows, nor a sudden collapse of the tunnel system, but something far more insidious – a sickness. A virulent respiratory infection, spreading rapidly through the interconnected network of settlements, leaving a trail of coughing, feverish bodies in its wake. The initial cases appeared in Lyra's community, a cluster of intense coughs and high

House of the Wolves

House of the Wolves

If it means what he thinks it means, then it makes perfect sense why they are the chosen victims. ‘Those who accept their end will rot for as long as their soul had been dead’ also supports the rotting corpses despite it being freshly killed. There had been no implications of struggle, or bruises. It meant nobody fought it physically. It was an intangible entity…making it all the more dangerous. “Hmm…” She returns her gaze to the book and searched for a name. “This book calls it the Plague for the Miserable. I’ve yet to read a cure or a way to prevent it. But fret not, that’s what I will look for today.”
